What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Getting the nut off was not too bad but the extra height of the Eibach brackets made getting to the nut difficult, View attachment 75636
Exactly what I said in the review I put on the eibach website. Great bars, but the bracket design needs to be better. It seems like in this case the design engineer did not realize the impracticality of the sidewall design. I definitely noticed a difference (for the better) in handling qualities. My wife and I agree that the handling is better and the ride is just a bit firmer. But its not so firm that we’d remove the bars and go back to stock. Definitely an upgrade to do if you have the patience for the one PITA nut job.

Not today, but on Friday I upgraded my brake pads to EBC Redstuff, got a full synthetic oil change and had K&N Filters installed.

How are the red stuffs treating you?

Also, a full synth oil change is just an oil change these days - per the manual :)

So far so good on the Redstuffs. Need to give them 200 miles or so before I bed them in but bite is already really strong. Higher speed braking vibration has improved but is still there, so hopefully after bedding them in, that will be eliminated.

just undercoated the Stinger and wife's car for winter with Fluid Film and Liqui-Shield.

just read about a new product called Blaster Surface Shield thst is supposed to be even better, but i just bought a 2 years supply of the other stuff ... <smacks forehead>

I tried surface shield. Looks pretty close to fluid film. So i wouldn't call it better. And don't forget inside the doors and panels. I got extension wand for that.51cbCV443qL.webp

im not getting that crazy ... its going to be garaged for most of the winter. working from home, decided to put the snow tires on my wife's little SUV and use that primarily.

delete sorry

Finally got around to installing my Scorpion Spoiler.Screenshot_20221023-185310_Gallery.webp

Today I decided to install a pair of inlet ducts from Dynomotive ( made down here in Australia ).

I have had Velossa Ducts on my car and have been happy with them except for the amount of extra crap that gets into the filter boxes.
So....... I decided to buy the Dynomotive ones ( bigger than Velossa ) and trial them with a hydrophobic mesh over them and see how they go.

Here is a Velossa on one side and a Dynomotive on the other.

And here's the size difference close up.

And finally the pair of Dynomotives installed.

Looking forward to seeing the results of water and dirt reduction.

How often will you need to remove the bumper to get at the mesh to clean it or replace?

Let's wait and see....

It could be flushed with a hose from the inside out to clean and as for wear, these are filter socks for exposed motorbike filters so they're meant to take some punishment.

If for whatever reason this experiment fails, it's no big deal. The nose is so easy to remove on the Stinger. But if it works and lasts.....

Never thought of that. Personally never seen that much stuff in my filter boxes

This is why I'm trying it. Every 6 months this is how much stuff ends up in my airbox's with the Velossa Tech snorkels fitted and no pre-filter mesh.

Just noticed a rock in there........

Better get that out.

They look good, they will certainly allow for increased airflow. You should consider upgrading the stock filter boxes to the aFe CAI system you can also get a pre filter sock for the pods as well, you will certainly notice some power gains coupled with those Dynomotive intakes.

Interested in seeing your results.

I vacuum out my air boxes, and knock out my panel filters, every 3-4 weeks. Living around farmlands, mine get pretty dirty as well with bugs and other debris. I found a cigarette butt in there once

Good looking snorkels, I'd consider them if they become available in the US.

That mesh is going to negate any benefit from the larger size over the Velossa. That may or may not actually have an impact, but I'd probably just skip them and trust my air filters. The crap in your airbox doesn't seem particularly troublesome or dangerous to me.

The air box design is exactly to trap larger debris.
