What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

is there a reason you are worried about the port being constantly powered at all? Unless you leave the car sitting for a month, it wont really be an issue.
Wireless android auto uses wi-fi to make a connection to your phone.
Thus you have an insecure wi-fi connection on at all times, that can interfere with other wi-fi channels, and worst of all (if car parked in garage) your phone will then keep disconnecting from home wi-fi to connect to the adapter's wi-fi.

your AA wireless adapter leaves an open network for anyone to connect to? Just making sure I understand what you are saying correctly. My AAWireless doesn't do that, and I'm pretty sure the M1 doesn't do that either. the Wireless adapters connection is fairly secure. It uses at least a basic WPA2 Protocol, as well as a companion app that goes with it that you need or the dongle doesn't do anything.

The AAwireless adapter puts itself into sleep mode if its on for more than 5 minutes without connecting to anything, and turns back on when the car restarts.

As for interfering with wifi channels, I dont really have an answer for that as each adapter is going to operate on different channels.

The original AA adapter and M1 must be different from the Carsifi one I have.
I got the Carsifi adapter as it has a button to easily toggle between phones (a feature good for me and the wife when taking trips)
The Carsifi adapter does not auto go to sleep. There is an "experimental" feature to have phone send a sleep command to it when it disconnects from the car's bluetooth ... but this does not work well, and often it does not wake up properly without rebooting it.

The wifi connection does use WPA2, however its connection process does not require you to know the wifi password (or even require you to use the app), you pair your phone to the device with Bluetooth (without even needing to press or do anything on physical device) and then it shares wifi passphrase and will allow a connection. The only way to know that another phone also has a connection is by the list in the companion app.

So in hindsight, security and battery drain where an afterthought for this brand of adapter.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Picked up some used (but practically like new) winter tires thanks to one of our local Stinger drivers. Once I got home I washed the exterior, vacuumed, and wiped down the interior. Gotta say I haven't really "cleaned" the tux mats since I installed them sometime early this year. They clean up pretty easily with a quick vacuum and wipe down. Practically look brand new.

Installed black Rokblokz slim splash guards on the front and rear - super easy and looks pretty good. At the same time, added some mesh to the brake vent duct to prevent rocks and debris from going through and potentially hitting the sides.

Installed my AFE intakes:

Installed the BMS WMI kit today.
Hope to be able to try it at the track on Wednesday.

Went on scenic drive today along Skyline Drive here in Virginia. I knew it was still too early for good pics of the leaves changing but the weather was perfect!

Took my car to get it detailed and ceramic coated. First time I do something like this to a car. Usually don't really care about the exterior but after 140k km it was full of minor scratches and a couple of paint chips.
The ppl at the shop made a tik-tok with it :D. Going to pick it up later today. Exciting!

Once I get my 6k mile check up in November it’s going to be a really fun month of adult legos. Ordered everything early so it would arrive before I needed them so I would not have to wait once I got started. Trying to figure out the Lozic order form now. He said it would take 5 days for delivery so I need to get that ordered in the next few weeks as well. But at least that’s a simple install.

I saw my first Audi Etron GT on highway today. So I was interested. It looked nice. Starting price $105k, 0-60 3.9, and only 236 mile range. for that price that’s a lot of 93octane and E30. Not very useful during hurricane evacuation season where I live.

Where abouts do you live?

Any damage from Ian? Obviously it seems the car is fine. Looked like it got rough up there too
Not in our area. the track finally went in north of us to myrtle beach. forecasted 6-10in of rain. Actual: maybe 1inch. windy but nothing too bad. We aren’t in a flood area and everything is garaged.
