Oil leak from oil cooler/oil filter housing

I figured if you pull the oil housing off the block can you then get to all the bolts you need on the cooler and NOT have to break the waterlines, then replace the 2 oil seals?

just get yourself 2 hose clamps, and it will stop the flow of the coolant, and all you will lose is the little bit that's in the cooler.

I have the same issue at 94000 would this be covered under warranty?
Yes it would just make.sure you don't have any mods or they will void your Warranty

don’t you need to bleed the cooling system afterward if you introduce air into the system?? and don’t you need the dealership to use the electronic tool to open the thermostat??,

the amount is so small that you don't need to do that. I didn't, and it's been almost 2 years and 25,000 miles later, and I don't have any issues

I have this leak too on a 2018 with 60,000km. So... this is gonna be a recurring issue? I don't see why it won't just fail again.

I replaced both gaskets on my 2018 Stinger 3.3L last year, a year later it's leaking again. Replacing them again.

I replaced my oil filter housing/cooler in Jan 2023 @ 135,000km (it was leaking badly and left a small pool of oil on ground) and now my new one is starting to show signs of a minor leak again @ 160,000km. Wtf

Wow, only 25000KM later and it's leaking again.

This issue should be recalled item
Wouldn't it have to affect a majority of owners? Or leak oil directly on the turbo to cause a fire hazard?

Exactly, not for this issue that doesn't leak anywhere near the turbo.
I agree, if this is a known problem for every Stinger owner I don't see why KIA does not have a recall on it. I guess, the way recalls work is that owners have to start a lawsuit to KIA and when they see that there are many complaints about it, that is when KIA is forced to recall.

How come you can get a METAL oil filter housing upgrade for other 3.3 hyundai motors but not this one???

TORK motorsports John had mentioned looking into it but I haven't heard of anything just yet..
