What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Well here they are.... I am going to talk to a motor trimmer on Monday gotta be cheaper than replacing all thru KIA if they are even available ??

Peace ✌️
Honestly, I'd leave those as they are if all the bolt holes are intact. Only people that are ever going to see them like that are you and your mechanic.

Nah I like to keep underneath as pristine and as new as the above.. sorry its just how i am 🤔

I replaced my cabin filter back at 8000km's with a lifetime K&N one, i thought at 28000km's now it was time to give it a freshen up.

Very impressed, very little entrapment and it all washed straight out, i gave her a little sucky sucky with my vacuum attachment as well just because... the filter you filthy animals!

A few of you may have read I had a vibration in my steering wheel and firewall at idle when in gear so I swapped all my exhaust back to standard and rechecked all mounts and attachments connected from engine/trans to body?

Yeh well the vibration is still mildly there, I have absolutely no idea and the car is now super quiet and smooth besides that little issue LOL

I also now have clean exhaust tips thanks to all the cats back in place and these Tork Motorsports K&N filter additions.

Never a dull moment @ Club Dazzler

I hope to have my undertrays sprayed with underbody sealer this weekend then I will put all them back on as well...

I try mate, i try 😞

Got me thinking...

I topped up my washer fluid and noticed it gets a bit dusty in there and other debris 😮

So I pulled it all apart and gave it a clean.

It is 2.5 yr's old after all...

You are the king of "pull it apart". And obviously very, very, very adept at it, but also the more important part, "put it back together". Ha hah.

My washer reservoir is well over 7.5 years old and I don't even look in there. Dealer has topped it up. I've never put any fluid in.

My plan next year is almost completely disassemble this thing and spray some paint everywhere KIA didn't 🤔

Too many exposed panels without colour on them for my liking.

I will start in the boot, then drop the fuel tanks /diff and exhaust.

Everything has like a zincalum coating but I think black will look more classy, it certainly won't hurt resale value?

Happy Monday you filthy animals 😉

What did I do to my Stinger today ?

Well I got up at 4am and spent 3hr's detailing it and then disconnected the battery and tucked her into bed until next year.

Yep I have some BIG plans and I need to go back to work to afford them and keep my wifey off my back haha 😄

So you won't be hearing from me again for a few months.

Peace out and be good to each other...x...

I have ordered all new undertrays for it and while I was taking in how much I needed to remove to paint what KIA didn't, i could not get the idea of a rear mounted Precision turbo out of my head.

I have ordered the pipework off Amazon lol and will procure a tig welder in the next few months.

I won't post pics until it is finished, if I actually go thru with it?

But there really is heaps of room for a 3" cross over single from transmission to rear mount on the R/H side and a 3" intake wrapped in heat sheilding on the L/H side past the radiator to the TB.

If our engine was a little bit BIGGER fitting twins in the rear would be a no brainer 🤔

It only costs money 💰 🤑 💸 😪

Watch this space ✌️

So, your earning money to make all those plans reality, I get that part. What I don't get is putting the car to bed to wait for the changes.

I already have the money mate... i just don't need to drive it, i'm only home 6 day's out of the month and i don't want to go past 30000km's haha!

Plus once you have had a bad ass exh and airboxes with an e30 tune on race wheels and tyres its kind of a different cruiser once you shut it all up and fit stock Michelins to it again...

*sigh*

I have a 2023 as well here in Canada. It's an AWD though. You got me thinking about putting it away again for winter. Time is coming.
It is always in my garage anyway when not driven (not my DD), and so far it has not seen any wet or snowy weather.
I have but 6,500 Kms on it. I don't want to go past 7,000 until next year.
I have undersprayed the car twice already, via Krown rustproofing. It is basically oil sprayed.
I had it on the hoist at the dealer for an oil change earlier this year, and went out to the shop floor to get a good look at it from underneath.
The dealership was more than happy to let me get under it and check it out btw. Good folks there.
The under carriage is pristine. I don't think I'll be removing stuff to paint anywhere.
I don't take the battery out, as I do start it up and run it around the block when the weather is clear (It doesn't snow everyday..lol).
Can't wait for spring though.
Take care everyone.
