Remote Start!

I don’t know for a fact it has remote start, I assumed it was standard with the GT2 since all their packages seem to be the same and quite a fee others on this forum have it. I’ll check all those things. Thanks for your advice.

It’s not standard on any trim. If it’s not on your window sticker as an option or you didn’t have it installed after you bought the car you don’t have remote start.

You can get it on ebay for 340 and install it yourself. It's not hard.

P.S. I bought my Stinger on the 28th and paid for this already. My dealer still claims to not have it in stock along with my puddle lights and mud guards.

Question for you, were the mud guards the same color as your Stinger? Or were the mud guards a different color?

i have had the viper smart start installed by tintworld. app on phone, gps tracker, remote start, remote trunk pop, blah blah blah. piggy backs off of stock system. no problems so far, other than the fact the app is wonky and quirky, but that is the app on phone.

Do you know what model Viper you had installed? I ask because the Viper website doesn’t indicate their products are compatible with Stinger.

I have factory remote start installed. Is there a way to have heated seats and heat on when you remote start? It doesn't serve much purpose for me since it's still freezing inside!

The heat will be on if it was on when you get out of the car last, not sure about the heated seats. There is no way to turn these on while outside the car if they're off.

Not even when using the telematics app, which should be a no-brainer.

Of course, the app also says my maintenance is due when it was done last month and won't let me set my/any preferred dealer even though it offers a menu option to set it.

Seats are off every time you start the vehicle, via remote or from inside.

I wanted remote start primarily to cool the cabin a little in summer months, but getting some of the chill out in winter is welcome as well. It does make a difference, and the seat (and steering wheel) heaters don't take more than a few seconds to start have effect once you get in (and restart).

The car honks at the end of 10 mins or if I turn it off remotely, is there way to make it not do that. It doesn't honk if it turns off after opening door when running.

Just a heads up, the K8 Stinger Store will be releasing the Canbus Control Module (Remote Starter) for the 2018-2019 Kia Stinger, beginning 1st quarter of 2019. This will be a remote starter option using the original factory remote, but will also offer a bunch more really really neat features, all using the original keyfob. You can even unlock the doors and drive the car without the remote in an emergency situation. (With the programming code)

I would also like to be able to disable the horn beeping after remote start shuts the car off. The horn is pretty loud for first thing in the morning. I haven't found any info on this yet...
