Open windows with remote

Tried using the fob on mine to roll down / up windows. No dice. It does not matter if I lock or unlock the car first and then hold the unlock button for 4+ seconds...nothing happens. Odd if Kia did add this feature to some cars and not others or it is a hidden setting in the service menu.

I'm pretty sure this doesn't exist on the Stinger.

This is not an OEM feature on the Stinger.

The manual says if fitted......some other Kia models have it but not the Stinger.

Interesting that what some would call Kia's top-of-the-line vehicle....would not have this feature but some run of the mill models do. I thought someone further back said that it did work on their Stinger so that is why I tried it on my 2023 GT2.

You could go on for days talking about all of the "missing" functionality on the Stinger. I mean, no disc drive. Even my base Optima had one of those!

I was hoping for an 8 track player....or at least cassette tape!

I figure this was going to be on the My24 Stinger.

They had to leave out something......

Could this be coded using the canbus module?

The first thing I did on my maiden voyage in my 2018 was to open up my book of CDs and attempt to put one in...but where??!! I looked high and low...I had to be missing something! But...alas, nope...no disc drive. Now I have a useless book of CD's... often times I just open the book and turn the pages.

Rip the CD’s to a thumb drive, or to your phone. CD’s are deprecated at this point.

You just can't beat the warmth of the audio from disc.
Hah. My father in law showed me an ancient artifact from when he was young where they actually had vinyl record players for cars.

have this function on our 21 year old bmw .. the only thing it's done is make us anxious if we accidently opened a window by accidently getting the unlock button pressed while in our pocket... it's happened a few times,, walked out and and the windows were all open a little...

Perhaps you don't live in a hot climate? Because rolling down the windows on a hot afternoon really cools the car down a LOT & it's a great feature!

not super hot... only a few weeks out of the year over 100f, 38c ish.. average 90-95 f highs with high humidity in the bowl of nashville lol. For me when i did use the feature, depending which side the sun is facing, all it did was heat up the seat super hot in minutes since my windows are tinted making it impossible to sit in the seat if i did open the window. haha! I do like the feature on our z4 since it also opens the convertible top!

I have global opening on my 2021 GT. Perhaps it's a regional thing but seems to be a feature for us Brits anyway.

ah... i'm curious from the facelift us stingers, the US owners manual for 22 and 23 says, (if equipped) 1707766395784.webp
