Bad Avoid Importshark

It's probably an internet wide conspiracy against him. ;)
I'm not a big fan of Import Shark's history. And from what I understand, a good portion of that history is before he became the owner. The reason Import Shark is here, even with that history, is because as I said in the very beginning - everyone gets a clean slate here. Everyone gets a chance to prove they can be an asset to the community and to the people looking for aftermarket parts for their Stinger.

So far it appears to me that for the most part, by and far, he's done a good job. Yes, there's an occasional hiccup. I know. But I prefer not to pay too much attention to what happened before he started selling here. What's important to me is how he/Import Shark handles "our" community. I don't expect anyone to be flawless - because I am not flawless...
 
As the saying goes.....every blind squirrel can find a nut. If a seller pissed off every buyer they would be out of business. Of course there will be some happy people. I want to buy things from him also but will not after my own bad experience and seeing so many negative reviews. I just hope I don’t run across another of his scam companies.
 
What worries me more than his horrid customer service and delays delivering products is that he's now graduated to lying to his customers to try to deceive them into believing they've been dealing with someone else.

That's a different level of bad business all together. That's fraud.
I believe there may be a logical explanation to that as per a conversation I've had with him in the past. However, I'll leave that up to him to update us with as I may have misinterpreted the message. I sent him a message yesterday and am awaiting a reply...

This idea is good in general, but giving a vendor another crop of "new to him" buyers can be problematic. It's like new divers, to a new area where sharks frequent. Shark week comes to mind... importshark, coincidence??!! I think possibly not.

Also, as I posted before...it's not what you do when things go smooth, it's what you do when they don't. From what I'm reading it's that he takes the tone of "don't worry about it, it's your fault...but we'll get it fixed", then he disappears communication wise.

In any event, I was planning on getting in on the most recent group buy for the M&S spoiler... but decided to go at it alone because I didn't trust the simple "I pay, I see shipping confirmation, I get" process with this vendor. :thumbdown:

actually I would disagree on the definiton of doing a good job.

to be honest pple receiving prompt responses and polite ones at that from a seller or a business is basic business etiquette, and buying an item, receiving an item as described and with reasonable and fast shipping (which a buyer is paying for) is again basic business sense. especially when it's not like prices being charged are dirt cheap.

a reliable non outstanding seller (plenty around) will be doing the above as that is what they are offering as a baseline, so no problems with a deal as reported by some users here does not nessarily mean a good seller.

the key difference between a good seller from the above would be the ones who go an extra mile to help their customers on the rare occasions they need to do so.

needless to say, sellers who treat their customers like dirt (even if it is on a few occasions) fall into the other spectrum.

FYI you can get on ebay for really cheap, free shipping...thats were i got mine ....

what is damning really is why there is even a need for an explanation, and why there is always some extremely aggressive (and now damning) responses from Mike.

if we were treated with proper respect and gotten our issues resolved promptly and properly, none of us here would have had any such issues to raise nor would we have had to escalate to eBay or PayPal or whatever other platforms, much less post here to spread the news.

Mike dismissed my case without checking and verifying, calling me bogus without any facts. if he cared, he would have offered to investigate even if it was a reseller he was working with. instead he dismisses it (with 2 very prompt responses) then disappears for more than 1 day after proof was provided.

a look around our forums and on the Stingers Facebook at his comments and he is always quick to slate other sellers abt their services and products.

do you see proof being provided as well to back up his claims?

I purely meant to just share my experience but his comments and denial created a bigger mess for himself.

He told me if I don’t take my honest bad review from the forum he won’t give me any discount. Blackmail in other words I told him I won’t remove because it was my experience with his as a vendor. Stay away.

Yep, same here. And they shipped me the wrong one so I got it for 50% off. Good customer support after making a mistake.

That sucks man I got the corrent in 1 week from Korea it was impressive i got the type-S.....they both look good thou and for half the price thats good

Umm, I don't sell on Ebay. Yes, I set up an account for a local reseller like I already said. Regardless, that transaction has nothing to do with ImportShark and shouldn't be mentioned here.

I'm well aware of people making up completely false statements about me and my business or completely blowing things out of proportion while making themselves seem like a completely poor innocent victim. Remember, there's always 2 sides to a story. Vendors can be taken advantage of by people posting on the internet, but we can't ever let the public know the corrected version.
