I'm well aware of people making up completely false statements about me and my business or completely blowing things out of proportion while making themselves seem like a completely poor innocent victim. Remember, there's always 2 sides to a story. Vendors can be taken advantage of by people posting on the internet, but we can't ever let the public know the corrected version.
Have you read this whole thread, there is a lot of different incidents, all the review sites have a lot of negative reviews not just here..... I want to order from you but i am truly concerned......
 
Reply from the Ebay seller since a few guys here seem so interested...

"The incorrect item was sent and I needed to know the shipping cost to return it to the US or to your Korea office. I told the guy I couldn't do a return label because it was international and asked if he can get the cost. After a couple attempts he only gave an estimate. I asked Ebay support what to do and they said it was not worth shipping and let me keep the payment but refunded him. He received a refund for the mistake."

I don't have to bother reading this whole thread because these guys are obviously highly biased. There are not "a lot of different incidents" either, there are like 1 or 2, and even those are probably questionable. Again...there are 2 sides to every story. We get a couple hundred orders every single week, so if we were out there screwing over people left and right, you'd see thousands of issues CLEARLY documented--not just a couple guys telling only their side of a story.

I've only ordered from him once, a painted type s and it was done in a timely manner and was correct. Just my experience thus far.
 
yes, there are consumers out there that will blow things out of proportion and give false reviews. But after experiencing first hand some atrocious defensive and accusatory emails, the proof is in the pudding. I own a couple businesses that provide services, and no you can't win sometimes, but there is a professional means of handling things. there are some items I'd love to purchase from this vendor, but just won't bring my business to someone that conducts themselves unprofessionally.

Seems like a reasonable response.......So far I have personally seen more negative review than positive.... I hope the people with positive reviews come out and speak up to balance things out.....I would say there definitely an issue...I am sure not all people complaining are crazy....I am sure its not all fake news.....My question for those of us like myself that want to buy, but are concerned, what are you changing or doing forward to gain our trust ... I really want to help, but is there anything that maybe you want to apologize or clear the air ???
 
Im not biased in anyway, but I can tell you this...

My money spends the same anywhere and you can bet it will get spent places that do not even have to defend "shady" practices.
 
Umm, I don't sell on Ebay. Yes, I set up an account for a local reseller like I already said. Regardless, that transaction has nothing to do with ImportShark and shouldn't be mentioned here.

You setup an account for someone, but you don't sell on ebay? You realize that if you setup an account for someone, using your credentials (name, etc), then YOU ARE selling on ebay and yes, it should be mentioned here.

It is what it is. I gather you aren't very good at the customer service (when things go wrong) side of things. That's okay. You do you and those who order from you will have to hope nothing happens to the order. :coffee:

Hold up man...so you're saying out of the hundreds of reviews, BBB complaints, forum posts and threads, webpages, Facebook posts, and dedicated Facebook pages going back nearly a decade that speak of negative interactions with you all but 1 or 2 are simply fake?

Damn, there really is a vast conspiracy going on here...You need to contact the NSA. The deep web is obviously out to get you. :thumbup:

I don't think he's denying having various issues in the past - but what he's saying here is that he's had one or two issues in this community.

Yes, people who either have a problem or think they have a problem are 1000% more likely to post something rather than a normal human being with a normal transaction that goes down just fine.

Sometimes there are certain people who simply don't listen to logic or consider the other side of the coin. What's the point trying to defend yourself against that? If there's anything specific you'd like to ask me about then I'll be happy to do my best to explain my part.

I set up an account using an old/unused email address. I also set up two other Ebay accounts--one of which brings in about $100k per week. That's technically connected to me too even though I've got nothing to do with it anymore.

And no, I'm not a customer service guru. Far from it. I get my hands dirty and put my money into the market to get parts made. That's what I do for the community. If I make mistakes along the way, I do what I can do make up for it, but some people act out against it.

Perfect example. That person didn't install the grill correctly. Not in the least. Pretty much anyone with a Gen Coupe can tell what he did wrong too, so you don't even have to take my word for it. Did he ask for install advice or bother opening the CD that was included to actually read the instructions? NOPE. He was at a meet and decided to be a cool kid and have someone take a vid that they could post on Youtube. Again man...NOTHING to back up what they're saying.

Here you go...in the instructions it specifically says these clips need to be removed. They're still on the bumper, so naturally the grill he says "doesn't fit" was never even installed correctly in the first place. BTW this is an M&S grill and they probably had the most popular grills on the entire market for the Gen Coupe. If they didn't fit, then they wouldn't still be sold to this day. Like Ebay vendors would risk negative feedback for a shoddy part?

Also...the George Rangel guy who posted that vid wasn't actually the original person who posted it. That vid was from like 2009 or 2010. I pointed out the incorrect install to the person who originally posted the vid and he took it down. George Rangel used to be a vendor in the Gen Coupe scene and just wanted to use it for to discredit me for his own benefit.

well you missed out the whole part about ignoring my query abt what form of refund or reimbursement I would get and providing a firm answer on this for 2 weeks, which I wanted to know before I can actually post the item with an exact postage cost.

an estimate which I obtained from the postage service is no reason why it is not sufficient for reaching an agreement first.

until I escalated the case to a dispute with eBay and PayPal after lack of proper response to a simple query above, and then got called childish for raising a dispute and then offered a puny partial refund as it was 'my fault' for escalating a claim.

all this mind you for being sent a wrong item in the first place, not me changing my mind abt what I received.

anyway to put facts right, I only got my refund after I escalated the case to eBay and PayPal for their independent case review. not because your seller ''asked' eBay what to do.

if I did not buy via these platforms, I wonder what kind of ''solution' would have been offered at all.

separately, it seems interesting that the local reseller you claim is not linked to you at all, is suddenly so chummy with you now to provide you with information, when all you could have done is prove you are not related to the seller as what you originally claimed.

Your case pretty much describes my experience. Everyone on here knows by his own words that he has plenty of business, so all can take their orders elsewhere now. There are plenty of choices so choose wisely.

$100k a week. No need for anyone to belittle the man. He's fine without us.
 
I have ordered many aftermarket parts for my genesis coupe from importshark for the past 5 years. Importshark always pulled through with my orders. Sure some of my orders were on back ordered and I had to wait. One of my orders for red carbon fiber center caps was discountinued after a month of waiting but mike refunded my money. Every step in the process was described to me and he always came through or refunded me that once. Just have some patients when ordering from IS...
