I believe that is for the base and premium Stingers which have the 2.0L engine

7.29 Quarts for 3.3L and 6.02 Quarts for 2.0L according to Owner's manual on Page 8-7

Yes that is a lot of oil. My Charger has 5.9 quarts.

Our '15 Town and Country (3.6 Pentastar V6 from Chrysler) has 6 quarts. So maybe automotive philosophy in general is shifting towards more oil?

I’ve been buying all the kit needed to do the oil changes myself now, after my last dealings with Kia Service, so it comes down to 4 options of oil I’ve picked out, so what do people here think is the better option , the only one I don’t have pictured is magnatec Start-Stop full synthetic 5w-30.

I went for the Magnatec Synthetic 5w-30 A5 start-stop, simply because the dealer is using Magnatec Pro 5w-30 A5.

just to give you an idea how versatile mobil 1 is, there are alot of Harley owners that use 10w -50 in the engine , transmission and primary oil fills........thats testament of a very good synthetic oil.

Not the Stinger but my Pathfinder and wife's Escape as well as every vehicle before that. I sell the Techron additive here at work and get it super cheap so I use that for the Stinger since it's directly recommended by Kia.

BG is good stuff though, all around.

That's a great additive as well! I will definitely make sure to throw in 1-2 cans of the BG MOA product into every oil change. That amount "should" not cause an overfill but ill find out when I get there.

Well I'd say drive it over here and use mine .......but your on the other side of the planet , literally, So thats that.

get yourself an oil extractor. You'll extract more oil with less effort.
I used to only be able to drain 4L from my other Kia. But with the extractor it drains out 4.5L which is max oil capacity.

Got The ramps today, sooooooo glad I bought them, makes the job so much more easier. Perfect height too.
What was difficult, didn’t have the right tools, had to borrow form a neighbor, was getting the oil filter off considering the placement of the steering module on RHD. Bought the right tools just now for myself, including an universal joint 1/2 inch ratchet adapter.
