Back in early December, paid 31K for a 2018 GT1 AWD with 60K miles.
Be careful with this deal, as I think you could get much better. I bought a loaded RWD 2020 Stinger GT1 for under 40K during the pandemic. It had 63 miles on it at the time of purchase. With supply chain issues we are experiencing, the price would be higher, but not by that much for a guy with a 800 FICO. You should be treated like a valued customer. It seems they may be strong-arming you, but I am not positive.Got a quote from a dealer in Phoenix area, they're quoting MSRP (46275 on a GT1 with the advanced driver package) - 5400 lease cash so 40875 net cap. But payment of 710 with 2k down, so they must be juicing the money factor pretty hard rather than marking up the cost. Puts it at like 10% APR if I'm doing my math right. For an 800+ FICO.
You could get an Excellence in Engineering hood logo, which takes out the kia logo. I know KDM sells them.$27k for a Hi-Chroma Red 2019 2.0t Premium with 14k miles. Bought it in 2020 and now I've put 40k miles on the car since then. The Premium trim was woefully underappreciated imo. Pretty much all the feature content of the GT1, just with the smaller engine.
Now I'm starting to look into appearance mods for the car but it feels like they're practically non-existent for the old 2.0t's front end.View attachment 78128View attachment 78129
Yeah, I was considering that or that new Kia badge if it fits right. Hell, even a splitter or something. You could get an Excellence in Engineering hood logo, which takes out the kia logo. I know KDM sells them.
Premium model got the sunroof and the gt headlights??? Damn I'm jealous. I still want a sunroof$27k for a Hi-Chroma Red 2019 2.0t Premium with 14k miles. Yep. Premium model essentially had all the feature content of the GT1, just with the base model's engine and bumpers. Has the upgraded touchscreen, sunroof, heated/cooled seats, seat memory, front + rear parking sensors, etc.Premium model got the sunroof and the gt headlights??? Damn I'm jealous. Now, you have a sensible goal to accessorize your beloved Stinger.Yeah, I was considering that or that new Kia badge if it fits right. Hell, even a splitter or something.
I was also considering those intake vent DRLs as I've seen someone install them on the 2.0t bumper in the past (it was also a Premium trim) but I can't find a link for the 2.0t version anywhere.
I get what you're saying. Myself I absolutely had to have the V6 or I wouldn't have bought this car. So it meant sacrificing the sunroof, which I really wanted and the smart trunk. Luckily I upgraded my car to the screen and nav that it shoulda had from the start. No upgrading to the sunroof though, unfortunately, unless I wanna swap out the car with a gt1/gt2. No way I'd do that now since I got a good portion of it paid off. So I just have to live with it. Having the 3.3tt makes up for it I suppose.Yep. Which is why I was really sad to see it go away for the later model years. It was a bargain for people who didn't need the V6. The sun and sound package lacks a lot of features in comparison.
I do not find a sunroof a deal breaker with a car. However, I have learned not to skimp on performance -- V6 is a must. I completely understand your perspective.I get what you're saying. Yeah, I get that. I'm definitely not worried about gas mileage. That's interesting cuz I actually paid the same for my 2020 awd gt. Cost me 36k brand new. I'm in MN, so the heated seats are a MUST. Cooled seats I probably would never use. We have front and back cooled seats in our Jeep Grand Cherokee, might've used it once? That sunroof on the jeep though, it's open probably 80% of the time on nice days.I totally agree about the premium trim. I didn't need or want a V6 because of gas mileage. The supercharged 4 cylinder is fast enough as it is.
I got a brand new 2018 for 36k. Only downside is the initial 2018 does NOT have ventilated seats! Heated but not cooled. They added that in 2019, and this is a huge deal for me at the height of summer.
About the sunroof, don't feel bad if you don't have it. I use it sometimes and appreciate it, but a lot of people have trouble with it creaking and making noises. Probably better all around to skip the hassle.
Yeah, had my eyes set on at least a gt1 back then, they were going for about 41k, gt2 was 46k new at the time in my area. A new gt-line car can almost cost that much now, crazy. That's a great deal for an AWD GT. It's crazy how prices are all over the place, but buying new in 2020 is probably the best you can do.
