What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

2023 GT2 AWD, ceramic silver with the suede GT package. $57k OTD.

I had an offer from another nearby dealer for a 2023 GT2 AWD ascot green, beige interior for $56k OTD.

This is in Charlotte, NC. Hope this data point helps some folks in the area.

Got a quote from a dealer in Phoenix area, they're quoting MSRP (46275 on a GT1 with the advanced driver package) - 5400 lease cash so 40875 net cap. But payment of 710 with 2k down, so they must be juicing the money factor pretty hard rather than marking up the cost. Puts it at like 10% APR if I'm doing my math right. For an 800+ FICO.
Be careful with this deal, as I think you could get much better. I bought a loaded RWD 2020 Stinger GT1 for under 40K during the pandemic. It had 63 miles on it at the time of purchase. With supply chain issues we are experiencing, the price would be higher, but not by that much for a guy with a 800 FICO. You should be treated like a valued customer. It seems they may be strong-arming you, but I am not positive.

$27k for a Hi-Chroma Red 2019 2.0t Premium with 14k miles. Bought it in 2020 and now I've put 40k miles on the car since then. The Premium trim was woefully underappreciated imo. Pretty much all the feature content of the GT1, just with the smaller engine.

Now I'm starting to look into appearance mods for the car but it feels like they're practically non-existent for the old 2.0t's front end.20220521_094524.webp20211007_134357.webp

You could get an Excellence in Engineering hood logo, which takes out the kia logo. I know KDM sells them.

Yeah, I was considering that or that new Kia badge if it fits right. Hell, even a splitter or something.

I was also considering those intake vent DRLs as I've seen someone install them on the 2.0t bumper in the past (it was also a Premium trim) but I can't find a link for the 2.0t version anywhere.

2020 GT1; Pearl White/Red. $38,863 was my negotiated price. After the dealer tried to screw me my out of pocket l price was $28,863.

My timing for buying the car was just dumb luck --- perfect timing during the height of COVID and I have no issues walking away from the table--- but you can only use that tactic once and my "new car" had an odometer with 1061miles ... so I negotiate like a used car. In the end my banker was the coup-de-gras! The finance manager tried to deny my bank loan claiming that the dealership doesn't accept out-of-state bank checks (which is ironic, because my deposit was a personal check from TD Bank --- they're Canadian!!) So I called my bank and even they could not convince the Finance Manager to accept their money. The saving grace was that my banker informed me that that Kia had a "lease to buy option". So I took I took the lease using the dealer's bank for part of the transaction still at my negotiated price ($38,863). My banker informed me that if I convert the lease to buy within 5 days from my taking delivery that would net a $10,000 credit from Kia. So I did ... my credit union honored the transaction as a new car and I qualified for the 1.9% interest on the loan. This dealership went belly-up last year. HA!!!

I wise man once told me, "It's better to be lucky than good."

Yep. Premium model essentially had all the feature content of the GT1, just with the base model's engine and bumpers. Has the upgraded touchscreen, sunroof, heated/cooled seats, seat memory, front + rear parking sensors, etc.

Which is why I was really sad to see it go away for the later model years. It was a bargain for people who didn't need the V6. The sun and sound package lacks a lot of features in comparison.

Now, you have a sensible goal to accessorize your beloved Stinger.

I get what you're saying. Myself I absolutely had to have the V6 or I wouldn't have bought this car. So it meant sacrificing the sunroof, which I really wanted and the smart trunk. Luckily I upgraded my car to the screen and nav that it shoulda had from the start. No upgrading to the sunroof though, unfortunately, unless I wanna swap out the car with a gt1/gt2. No way I'd do that now since I got a good portion of it paid off. So I just have to live with it. Having the 3.3tt makes up for it I suppose.

I do not find a sunroof a deal breaker with a car. However, I have learned not to skimp on performance -- V6 is a must. I completely understand your perspective.

I totally agree about the premium trim. I didn't need or want a V6 because of gas mileage. The supercharged 4 cylinder is fast enough as it is.

I got a brand new 2018 for 36k. Only downside is the initial 2018 does NOT have ventilated seats! Heated but not cooled. They added that in 2019, and this is a huge deal for me at the height of summer.

About the sunroof, don't feel bad if you don't have it. I use it sometimes and appreciate it, but a lot of people have trouble with it creaking and making noises. Probably better all around to skip the hassle.

Yeah, I get that. I'm definitely not worried about gas mileage. That's interesting cuz I actually paid the same for my 2020 awd gt. Cost me 36k brand new. I'm in MN, so the heated seats are a MUST. Cooled seats I probably would never use. We have front and back cooled seats in our Jeep Grand Cherokee, might've used it once? That sunroof on the jeep though, it's open probably 80% of the time on nice days.

That's a great deal for an AWD GT. It's crazy how prices are all over the place, but buying new in 2020 is probably the best you can do.

Yeah, had my eyes set on at least a gt1 back then, they were going for about 41k, gt2 was 46k new at the time in my area. A new gt-line car can almost cost that much now, crazy.

I'm currently shopping for a used stinger and it seems like their are some decent deals out there now.

I'm seeing 2020 GT1/GT2's for around $35k with less than 30k miles. Seems to be the sweet spot for knocking off most of the depreciation value and still getting into one with plenty of value/life left in it. Lots of older 2018/2019 models for right at $30k (or less) now too.

Just got 2022 GT Line with Sun and Sound package (4 cyl) with only 8600 miles for $35,900. Dealer had the car for several months and I got a price drop from their listed price of $37,400. I would have liked to get the v6 but with 4 cyl having 300 HP I wanted the sun and sound package more.

desperate times...i was toying with the idea of downgrading because i cant afford my gt1 stinger anymore. im paying my own health insurance since my new job doesnt offer health insurance. and my wife and i having unexpected new debts. so anyway, i called a few places last week about trading in my gt1 stinger for a new k5 gt package. (i know this sounds silly, im probably just keeping my gt1) but upon checking into it all, the k5 gtpackage comes with more options than a gt1 stinger. its a slap in the face. anyway, they want 38k for a new k5gt1package, chesnut brown interior. one dealership only wanted to give me 35k, even kelley blue book says 41k. so when they gave me the numbers, the k5gtpackage is way more than what im paying monthly now.
