• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

What did you do to your Stinger in Australia today?

The ram thingys are cold air intakes. Normal air filters are made of paper and restrict airflow into engine. The cold air intakes have filters made of different stuff that allows better airflow. More air in, more bang and power. Your bordering on mega enthusiast if you are prepared to spend money on them. Personally I would not go there but if I recommended a brand, Jonny Tig. There is a vid on YouTube by a guy called StingerGTandMe that shows you. All up cost vs extra power is probably not that much diff in horse power. Please correct me guys if im wrong.
Thanks for reply AV8R, just wondered about them but doubt I'll go down that track , Iv'e watched some of StingerGTandme on you tube,
There's one episode were he puts in a " Blow off Valve ", I'm right in thinking they are illegal here ?

Guys, can anyone answer my question a few posts back ,it's about the " rams "....cheers
Oh, I put a joke in the joke thread like 3 weeks ago( feels that long ) you should check it out, I think it's not bad if I don't say so myself :D
Ok flame I'm going to wonder over there, be warned I call a spade a spade.

GFB have adjustable ones that go from atmospheric to non atmospheric . I had one on my WRX. I think it amused the young uns more than me.
As my wife and kids will tell you my domestic homely blow off valve is a force to be feared.

We are talking car parts aren’t we ? Lol

Goodnight all I'm going to test the bov.

Question for you Stinger GTSS, does your X Force cat-back system have a drone ? and do you have the Varex smart box with it ?
I don’t have the X-Force Varex System, I was considering it, but have since gone off it due to others with aftermarket systems having issues with drone, resonance/vibration etc. but would consider the Kia Bi-modal, if you can get bi-modal added into your deal when negotiating go that way as you will also get the warranty with it.

Have you guys had a chance to do the " launch control in your Stingers ? " I 'm guessing you need a quiet open road to go for it ?
moderators are cracking down on " off topic " comments, Eflyguy flagged some of us last night in the " other side of Kia " thread Oops.
