• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

What did you do to your Stinger in Australia today?

Not today but last week.....damn car park at Westfield. Near side rear.

THIS is why I did not purchase an '18 in the US, the 360º camera was non-negotiable. The wing mirrors (even when they pivot) are not enough in such a low-slung car, and do nothing for the front.

Yes I grinded the passenger front last week, there was a horrible scratching noise followed by cries of anguish. On another thread someone posted you can sand them down gently with fine sandpaper gradually, it reduces that nasty look. Apparently wet & dry leaves black residue. Personally I've built a bridge and as long as it's not the duco then such is life.

Was one of those raised lane separators at the entry point. I don't usually go in that entry but didn't want to park in the sun and misjudged the angle. Camera didn't pick it up either. I'll give it a gentle rub to take the sharp edges off. At least i've still got one good wheel.....but for how long?

That's what @MerlintheMad hit and tore his under carriage.

Wait, do the wheels actually say Stinger? I've never noticed that.

the GT wheels are not painted , wet sand works well

Happens to everyone. I’ve had black rims on every car... at least machined silver you can repair somewhat easy without having to respray!!!
I'm not in Australia... this happened on a snowy day! ;) My first curb rash. Rear driver's. Just yesterday. Pulling thru the Jimmy John's drive thru on the way back to the office. Their too-tight corner from the speaker box to the window. In my defense, the curb was 4-5 inches high, and there was 4-5 inches of snow. Hard to see (that's my story, and I'm stickin' with it ). This is another reason I have winters with a cheaper steel/painted wheels in winter. Ideas to fix?

I'm just back from a few days in Townsville so a lot to catch up on. The dead pedal overlay was in the mail box last night so over the next few days View attachment 17967 I'll see how best to modify it for a good fit.
How does it fit if you just slap it on? How much overhang is there? Can we get some pics before and after you modify it for comparison please

I like the wheel cap logos.
Vinyl transfers on Ebay from the UK. I could choose different sizes. Went for 6 of these. 4 for wheels, 2 for mirrors. Let's see if they hold up to another pressure wash?

It's actually smaller than the black pad di I think I'll place it towards the bottom and flush with right hand side. There will be a gap at the track transmission tunnel but I don't think it will be too noticeable. I'll give it ago later today.
