• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

What did you do to your Stinger in Australia today?

Hey everyone just fitted these gel badges to my car...The steering wheel one i made the size of only the inner Kia logo, so kept the OEM chrome ring...as you can see these fit way better than the 1's off eBay as they cover entire badge but sit raised up abit...these look factory :)
The drive mode selector is also gel...and wheel centre caps are 60mm...These gel badges are Automotive quality not paper backed rubbish...my sons been using them on the V-Rods he customises...If anyone interested let me know..there is a setup fee unfortunately but if theres enough wanting them costs will be reflected...:p20190711_165055.webp 20190711_165019.webp 20190711_163956.webp 20190711_163939.webp

Well today the Stunger went in for the Eibach sway bar fitment. Both set to soft, also got the map update and the brakes looked at.

Took her in 8am and at 4.30pm they still hadn't finished, no big deal but I was the second last person out. They got a shock that the rear sway took so long, i could have told them that. Brakes, a lot of travel but they me tell it's normal.

The guy on reception told me they had a Stinger in recently that had a badge change, I said that's not unusual. I had to get him to repeat his answer, which was replaced with...."Bertone badges" ..WT?

On the trip home I saw they had road tested it to the tune of 2.1km, what surprised me was the fuel average was at 58lph! When I drove the 8.5kms home it was still reading 23lph. I'd say they gave it some Welly!

Peak hour couldn't test out the 'bachs but the steering wheel felt different, not as weighted, hopefully just my imagination. I was in the normal comfort mode setting.

Tomorrow I'm doing the mountain that over looks my place, this is where @Stinger GT SS and I tested his out. Tomorrow my turn as the pilot.

Run from these muppets.

Run really fast away from these muppets, they must have thrashed the car to get 58lph, I seriously only got to 40lph on a track. I hope they didn't go through any speed traps, keep a log date and time and who had the car.

you'll love the sways.

If the car sat idle with the engine running for a while, could that impact the reading?

Getting 58L/100km on a 2.1km drive seems almost impossible. 2.1km sounds reasonable to test sway bar fitting.

Yes I was astounded it was that high. Also what is even more amazing they would have taken it out around peak hour on the Gt Western Hwy. I knew when it went out as my mobile went to Android auto when they got close. This happened twice.

Hooray!! picked up Sonic from Paint protection at lunch time today. Been away for 10 days.
Big Thumbs up and highly recommend " Jimmy " at " Fine Shine " in Melbourne who did paint correction for 4 days to get off calcium deposits and scratches etc, and then Ceramic coating. He could of charged us much more for his time but said " I'm not greedy, I want to get the car right for you ".
Also big thumbs up and recommend " Anthony " at " Bon Vivant Automotive care " in Williamstown, Melbourne.
He is mates with Jimmy and does the PPF and also ceramic coating. Both guys did a great job and we are very happy.

Anthony said " It's a beautiful car, my wife owns a Sorento and I have just placed an order for a Stinger, he's getting a Snow White Pearl with red interior. He has been a Merc guy, still owns two, one is an older C63.

Here she is, shiny and new :D
