• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

What did you do to your Stinger in Australia today?

................at 160km and above these wire covers do cause a drone sound ......................I found that out today doing a "movie " with my son , I removed them and ...........voila noise gone .................I then put them back in , cuz I'm not driving above160 much and they really work protecting rock rash in in the back end !~!!
Speed limit in oz is 110km no issue.

..........dont get me wrong , the purpose of the screens meets the objective 100 % ............we had access to a controlled "Provincial" road and had the opportunity to stretch it out a bit ...........................they still cause a drone at high speeds though, hey arent you the "drive it like I stole guy " , I'm sure you would never break the speed limit ????? .......in a "safe" zone ???

Sway bars fitted yesterday. Very happy with installation, cost, and ride outcomes.

It's my view from everything I've seen and read thus far that the stock rear swaybar doesn't actually act as a swaybar in the traditional sense, but rather as an additional spring that limits suspension travel.

A proper bar may actually allow the rear end to ride in a more supple fashion, yet still provide better roll control. I believe this is why an upgraded swaybar removes the odd "skipping" sensation that many people feel over broken surfaces from the rear in corners.

Looks great mate , super clean paint job !!:thumbup: How many coats of clear to you apply ??
Hi there i usually put 3 coats of clear so if it needs a sand & buff...its done with COB...which is clear over base, its not acrylic its 2K so has hardner in clear

Flywire mesh is too fine and will reduce airflow. Its also easy to break. The mesh I use allows good airflow and is thick and stiff enough not to break so you don't need to affix it. It just slides in and is held by the lining inside fender.

I have no doubt it will feel better in corners, but I'm mostly concerned about loosing suspension suppleness, could you comment about how it affects ride over rough roads
I haven't driven it since yesterday so unable to comment at this early stage.
Edit/update:
Today I drove over multiple surfaces and quite a few sections under repair. I'm feeling the ride is a little firmer in comfort mode but can't really detect any difference in sport. Having said that it's not uncomfortable and I'm satisfied with the overall outcome.

If anyone's interested in buying a large Carbonfibre or Black, large Stinger Emblem for the rear boot let me know :)
