What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Never too early for maintenance items mate...
true, but it just seems like a waste unless that how the ttv6 engine really is? Its bone stock outside of the BMS zero maintenance occ. Guess i'll get it done.

If your going to do plugs, make sure you check all the coil packs too. Brand new plugs in my bone stock GT1 at 45,000 miles were unnecessary, in my considered opinion. Were I to go back I'd wait on plugs until you start to notice a loss of crisp power, misfiring issues and CEL, that sort of thing. Then of course get new plugs, and as many coil packs as needed. I've replaced only one coil pack in over 78000 miles. A guy on here is still on his original plugs at 200,000 plus miles, unless he's finally changed them since he shared that tidbit with us, I want to say a year ago.

Dropped in some H&R sport springs today 👌🏽
Sway bar kit arrives next week, so it will be interesting to see how much better it handles

Could not decide on the colour to paint my calipers so for now it is just a rotor and pad change 😞

Gotta be honest it was the most relaxing mod I think I have performed on this car... no swear words, no anxiety just took my time and lots of photos lol.

If course today I am reminded about the difference between performance brakes and factory standard... cue the pad squeel until the compound is warm and the obligatory brake grab from a standing start or a slow stop.

Cars .... gotta love em' eh?

Peace ✌️

Currently away at work and my detailer sent me some photos of the car. Just had paint correction and ceramic coating.
Looking extra glossy 💦

For a while I have been dissatisfied with my windshield not coming clean when I wash the car. Always "stuff" still showing, like swirls and spots. Bleh. I finally got annoyed enough to buy a decontaminant, and just tried "Invisible Glass" glass stripper. It worked, yay. My forward view is much clearer now.

Spent an hour today disconnecting the Bi-modal connection's and re-attaching them flap motor on flap motor off ...

Put the wifey in the drivers seat and gave her strick instructions about map switching and rpm limits lol

Sometimes they stay open sometimes they stay closed, even at 3000rpm in Sport mode!

Gotta be a situation between the wiring there and my mode switching button kicking out the unichip when on boost, because right now the valve only opens half way at 3000 and not at all below that, yet if i disconnect the plugs while the valves are open they stay open... if i disconnect while shut they stay shut?

I'm really confused because for all the times i have removed this exhaust in the past the valve always sprung open as soon as i unclipped the plugs.

It sure has never only opened half way before, i disconnected the battery... tried it running/stopped everything... i'm so sick of these little 1% issues that i can never find a solution for or a reason why??

If by good grace i can get it to stay open again, i will unplug them AGAIN and leave it at that.

Peace.

Do the inside of the glass, too. I hate the mystery haze that happens for no apparent reason...plastic off-gassing or whatevz. No smoking in my ride either.

Well the BMS diff brace i had (the 2nd one- 1st one snapped in half) started making noise again when i hit the gas so attempted to adjust it and simply retighten the bolts, welp that did t work and I broke the offending grade 10.9 BMS bolt off into the differential case.. luckily it’s not leaking.. on the positive side there is no more noise from the brace anymore but it’s disconnected…

"Invisible Glass glass stripper is not for the inside, just to be clear, ha hah.

I quite often, several times a year, spray and wipe the inside of my glass, including when I used the product I am discussing.

Right now I am walking back my claim "it worked" a bit. Yes, "Invisible Glass glass stripper took off a lot of accumulated stuff on the outside of the windshield. But it left behind a haze. Not bad, but definitely there when the sun shines through. I thought that I had rinsed incompetently. When I got fresh water and a towel and rinsed and dried again, the haze went away - except a couple of small areas where I didn't try as thoroughly as I should.

One must be somewhat OC about clean glass in order to get your windshield really clean. Now I can see the road rash of seven and a half years in the glass, and there is a fair amount of that, unavoidably so.

Ima not complaining. Nobody wants to have to replace their windshield. That's just asking for subsequent trouble ranging from noise to moisture getting in, and cosmetic damage to trim and paint getting the glass changed out and in, etc.

Hmmmm what did i do to my Stinger today?

Well i fitted this??
