I suggested before Chicago executive airport as a idea. Windy city dubs are having a show the in a few weeks. I believe the have rooms in a hotel close by.

I like the beach idea but it will probably be too cold in October... @Canoli, in regards to Chicago executive airport - would you happen to know of any contacts that would handle something like a car show?

I agree that the beach is not ideal. Especially Montrose Dog Beach. It's pretty disgusting. Not sure if I missed it, but has anyone suggested Chicagoland Speedway?

Starved Rock sounds beautiful! Could station with a hotel deal somewhere near Buckingham Fountain for the nightlife ... then cruise to Starved Rock the next day for relaxation, food, drink at Starved Rock.
