• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Stinger GT Arrivals in Australia

Mine is supposed to be ready for me at the end of May, so it sounds like it is on that ship with yours too!!

Judging by the number of forum members whose cars are due in May there might be a (tiny) spike in Stinger registrations in the June VFACTS numbers.

So I kinda wonder, dose the boat dock at one location (guessing East) and the rest are road transport. Or does it stop at each captial city.

Stops at each state.

I went to the website of each Kia dealership in Brisbane and searched for Stingers in available stock. Looking for a 2022 in Panthera Metal. Saw one listed as in stock as sent a message. Got told it's on the boat, due in 10 days in Brisbane. Ordered it yesterday. Estimated pickup date is 26th May.

For Brisbanites, Moorooka has a whiteboard of all their stock on the dealership floor, with expected delilvery dates listed. They still have some GTs available late May. Nundah has at least one listed as late May as well on their website. I assume their must be a few coming in on the same boat.

Metro Kia at Windsor has one in Micro Blue with red interior for $74.9K

I didn't even haggle with Moorooka. List price on the website was $70.5K. They just came out and said $70K drive away, with tint, mats, boot liner, 12 months rego and full tank. That'll do me as long as I get it in the next 3-4 weeks. Car sales people need to buy Christmas presents too.

I got them to put a clause in saying the contract is void and deposit refundable if I don't get the car before end July though...

It might be worth starting a new thread with this info for people looking at purchasing a Stinger but whose local dealer doesn't have any in stock or on the way.

Also the Micro Blue with red interior must be a mistake on the part of the dealer - red leather isn't available on Micro Blue.

The one at Windsor I test drove 4 days ago was definitely micro blue and red interior.

I wonder if Kia is just pumping them out to keep things rolling despite the colour combination restrictions, and at some point when supply chains and shortages return to normal levels the restricted colour combos will be enforced again. In the meantime, this could become a rare, unique and sought after colour combo in future years.

In either case it doesn’t change the fact that white/red is the best (and fastest) combination :)

Oh, that's interesting! If I'd known that colour combinations are opening up I might have considered red-on-red (but I would probably still have ended up with silver-on-red).

The gold trim looks like it's been applied with a $5 spray can. In my opinion, that just devalued the car by about $10 000.

Ordered my Stinger June 2021 and received it late April. It was a long wait but very happy with the car.
Pics or it didn't happen. :geek:

I put a deposit down two weeks ago for a Stinger GT and was told a 9-12 month wait.
Just by luck I found a silky silver at another dealership 40 minutes away and I bought it yesterday it will be ready for pick up next week.
Now the salesman at the first dealership won't return my calls or reply to my text messages to cancel my order.
Spoke to another salesman at the dealership and was told i need to speak with original salesman to cancel order hmmm..

I suggest if looking to buy ring around you will be surprised what is on its way.
Keema Kia has a number of Stingers arriving end of month still available

Here's a nauseating example available at the moment.....

I'm guessing they're targeting a specific demographic with this color scheme and the price
It just doesn't make sense to me!?

The fact that its such a brand new vehicle (Feb 22) and someone has made the conscious decision to slap that ridiculous extravagance all over it, yet the ad makes no mention or explanation at all of that 'feature' of the car and still thinks putting it up for the ludicrous price $88k is the way to go?

If anything I'd want $10k off the sticker price to deal with all that pissweak crappy wannabe Iron Man bling.

Lol, Didn't even think about the "Iron Man" wannabe doppelganger attempt.

The thing that really blows my mind is that they left the exhaust tips / surrounds, CHROME SILVER......
Maybe they realized what they were actually doing to this poor car close to the end and stopped.

Any recommendations for a good ceramic finish Provider inner south east Melbourne? From what I understand $1-1.5k is par for a brand new vehicle?

I had the misfortune of seeing that yesterday. It's in the showroom at Heartland Blacktown. Sales guy explained it was styled for the local market!

Along side of it was a Panthera priced at $88,888. Looked rather smart with black wheels and badges. Also SWP and Micro Blue both asking $86,888.

My GT was finally delivered to my doorstep on Friday! Almost 11 months to the day from order to being in my garage. The wait was painful but now that I've got it, very glad I got one - fantastic car to drive. Now just wondering whether I should get some of that gold bling added like the example shown above.
