• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Stinger GT Arrivals in Australia

Love hearing the excitement here from the soon-to-be new owners. Makes me feel all warm inside and a bit jealous (as you get all the new gizmos and wizardry thrown in). I've been living with my dream for a few years now, no regrets, still have and get the same "you got what" feels too. Welcome to you all and enjoy your new rides (soon).

My dealer has informed me that my new Stinger is on a ship and expected here in 4 weeks. :sneaky:

Opie, our cars might be on the same ship?
Maybe! When I input my VIN into the Prixcar website nothing is found which I assume mearns it hasn’t been loaded yet. Bit given the timing it seems likely that our orders will be on the same ship.

I’m expecting mine to arrive on the Cunard Queen Mary 2. Should have its own Royal Suite for the journey with priority disembarkation.

Congrats to everyone getting the cars!

How do you get the vin? Are you supposed to call Kia head office and if so what info do you give them and what number are you calling.

I ask because even though mine is allegedly in production, the dealer does not have a vin number.

Your dealer should be able to give you the order number for your vehicle. With this in hand, call Kia Australia (131542) and they will be able to update you on the status of your order including VIN.

Thanks appreciate that.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Just got the call from my dealer that my car has arrived and I will pick it up next Tuesday!
Ordered at the end of November 21 so just over 5 months from order to pickup for me.
I'm so excited, now the long wait till Tuesday :D

Enjoy EHRD!

I'm really quite confused on the way Kia are producing these cars. I ordered a GT back in June 21 and although Kia Australia tell me it's almost here, still don't have a delivery date! Given what we see in terms of car arrivals, I can only assume the production sequence isn't based on when orders are put in (of course I'm assuming my dealer put the order in when I requested the car). Very frustrating!

Yeah its an odd system of in witch order cars get made and delivered. I have no official idea how it works but it seems like it has to do with the size of the dealership. Bigger once get allocated more or can place more orders then smaller once it seems.

So let say dealer one can order 10 Stingers per month and Dealer two only 5, but dealer one has a backlog of 50 and dealer 2 of 35, it will take 5 months at one and 7 at the other.

But this is just a guess on my part of how it seems to work going by comments from people in the different forums and groups. I might be completely wrong on this

Yes, you could be right - would make sense.

If your car has been made, you can ask your dealer to get the VIN for you.

It appears that some of this has to do with the paint colour option. Black appears to be a case in question.

Yesterday I was told that my Stinger GT should now be delivered at the end of May. (A month ago I was told probably late Apr/early May) I ordered it at the end of Oct '21.
Ordered mine mid October '21, picked the car up last Friday 29 April. Can't be long now.

Hi guys, I am looking to buy a Kia Stinger GT in VIC. Can anyone tell me how much discount may I get from the current $69,890 drive away price on Kia Website? Is 66K to 67K achievable through a broker given that the waiting time is shorter now and Kia is starting to ramp up the production. How much has anyone pay for their Stinger GT recently (within 1-2 months period)? Thanks
Ordered one last week net retail 9 months delivery

You can plug your VIN into the following to find where it's at:

View attachment 70209

Having said that, I was told over two weeks ago my GT was on a ship on it's way to Australia, and the status on the e2 tracking website hasn't changed in that time with the Consignment Status listed as "To Be Confirmed".
So I got my VIN today but it does not show up on this site.

httpx://e2.prixcar.com.au/e2/VehicleTrackerHome.jsp
Change the httpx to https to work. Had to write like this otherwise the link won't show up here

Is this the correct one? Anyone used this before?
Maybe it just takes a while to get on this site...

So Kia called today and said my car is on a boat and should be with the dealer by end May. I am finally ready to believe. Boat should be here 15-17 May.

so if i get it first week June, it will be 16 months since the order was placed.

I think your car is on the same ship as mine and Opie's. Won't be long now.
