Just to reconfirm, after a Vienna - Bucharest trip today (1000km), my SCC works flawlessly. So definitely not a hardware thing that caused the episode where it was not turning on..
This came up on my Stinger when I forgot to turn the cruise on and then tried to set the speed.Hi I am getting this message when trying to enable the cruise control. " SMART CRUISE CONTROL CONDITIONS NOT MET"
Used for a week no issues then just happened one day. Any one else have this issue? I have tried cleaning the window section covering the censer.
I’ve seen this in 2 scenarios:
1) Attempting to resume when no previous speed has been set.
2) Foot on the brake when attempting to set.
3. Put it in drive (seems to be the only way to disengage the ebrake)
No, neither direction up or down seems to disengage, and I held it in each direction for 5 seconds. That seemed to be the intuitive thing to do though. You can't push down on the button to disengage it?
Set using the distance following button. Page 5-94 in my 2018 manual, immediately following the instructions on setting the sensitivity of the SCC. Titled 'To Convert to Cruise Control Mode'.Can someone post how to use cruise control in the "non-smart" mode? I looked in the owners manual and I couldn't find it.
Thank you!Set using the distance following button. Page 5-94 in my 2018 manual, immediately following the instructions on setting the sensitivity of the SCC. Titled 'To Convert to Cruise Control Mode'.
I just brought my car in for the 5,000 miles service last week and asked the dealer to look into why I was getting the "Smart Cruise Conditions Not Met." It turned out that the front radar was out of calibration. They recalibrated it and everything is working just fine now.
Thanks for posting DangLad. My car has been at the dealer since last week. I'm hoping they fix it soon so I can get my car back! Quick question: did you by any chance install a toll transponder in your windshield? The tech at my dealer was saying that Kia told him to remove any electronic add-ons if they are there (transponders, lojack, insurance company gps trackers, etc.) The only thing I added on mine was a toll (EZ-Pass) transponder. It seems like a long shot, but worth asking about.Just chiming in here that I also have this issue on a just purchased 2019 Premium, and SCC has never engaged once under any circumstances. Had a sales rep and a service rep drive the car to confirm that the issue was not user error (since they hadn't heard of anything like this), and they're currently running diagnostics on the car. Here's hoping a re-calibration will fix it, but just thought it would be helpful to confirm that it's not User Error in every case.
Pkarandi and I actually chatted on the phone, thought it would be helpful to summarize it here. I literally picked up my car yesterday, and haven’t done anything to it, so it’s not a transponder issue. The dealership has had it all day and is at a loss for what’s causing it after running lots of diagnostics, and they’re getting me set up with a rental to drive home. I’ll keep y’all updatedThanks for posting DangLad. My car has been at the dealer since last week. I'm hoping they fix it soon so I can get my car back! My dealer is pretty far from me (45 min) so getting out there just to remove the transponder is out of reach. Plus, I'm hoping they tested that already...
