3.3TT Quicksilver Exhaust Systems

Thanks for sharing that...very interesting.
I might attempt to do that as well. So the vibrations is at its loudest when the wireless charging lid is closed. Left open I noticed it minimised the vibrations

Vibrations as well :(

Do yall think having stock downpipe will eliminate that or is the catback causing it?

Unsure what is causing it to be honest. I am thinking it is because I have the fake OEM tips and the QS barley goes into them causing reverb. So thinking if I go with tips or some other method of extending the tailpipes into the OEM tips or sealing them off, it will solve the issue. This is another reason I am taking my car in Friday to have it looked at.

Disappointing. I think I'll put the $$$$ into professionally applied ceramic coating and resign myself to the fact that the queit stock exhaust adds to the mystique and 'semi-sleeper' MO of the car. Thanks for the education!

Keep in mind, the stock system is very restrictive with key areas are pinched and the muffler is packed. So if you are going for a "sleeper" you will want to change out the exhaust for the additional power at some point.

I think whats causing the vibrations is the drone on cabin.. I will try to make a video tomorrow and post it in my Instagram for you all to see the vibrations and hear the drone...as I can't really upload videos yet.

Have you had a chance to reach out to QS and see if they have a solution or reason why the drone occurs?

Thanks. I'm at 2200 miles and will monitor the forum for future proven recommendations for safe power gains and maybe someday a more satisfying exhaust tone free from concomitant unwanted drone/vibration. I'll enjoy the silent "semi-sleeper," stock for now.

ever look into an Axleback like the NGM Delta? gets rid of the pinch points on exhaust and also the packed muffler. Been trying to get feedback but seema nobody has it.

Thanks, no, haven't heard of that option.

Hopefully someone on here has some info on it.

Anyone try the clamp on tips with their QS yet? That is the #1 solution for drone it seems.

Thing is the new system has tips that extend all the way to the rear diffuser and he still reporting drone.
Still haven't heard of drone with the clamp on tips... Easier than cutting it up to swap the resonators.

This is so perplexing to me, as I have zero drone, zero vibration. I have normal aftermarket exhaust noise at around 2000rpms, but nothing i would complain about. Stillen was unbearable. Borla is basically a straight thru muffler, so no gases bouncing around inside, but rasp was horrible. Again, my set up may be different and my installation and clearances different. There is nothing remotely close to rubbing anywhere that may cause vibration. Stillen would rattle the change in my console. I can have at least 10 members verify what I am saying ,which makes it odd that Eric's is so pronounced. Eric look for a package this week, which will include simple bolt on adapters that will effectively extend the tips further into the fake tips, and see if the drone is gone, or minimized. Simple 10-15 min install, and can be done from underneath easy enough.
If it is still an issue Eric, and you want to sell it, I would happily purchase the Sport system from you, as I have three customers local who want it

Thanks for the note Brian, much appreciated. I will keep that in mind but I will wait to install the extensions until after the appointment I have with the shop on Friday. I agree, nothing is rubbing anywhere to cause any vibrations but when I see comments that Stillen would rattler the change, that is similar to what I am experiencing. You can feel the vibrations by simply putting your hand on the center console. Could it be a bad install, it very well possibly could which is why I'm going to a different shop than who I had install it.

I thought to share some pics of the system to put things in perspective.
