3.3TT Quicksilver Exhaust Systems

Im assuming we are all anxiously awaiting new information on the status of the system, but I guess I have the least will power to hold back from asking. No update this week? Shouldnt they be in full production by now?

I was hoping to have an install-a-thon Labour Day weekend, but none of the big stuff Ive ordered from multiple places has shipped yet so it doesnt look promising.

At least there is positive info coming out periodically on QuickSilver, unlike the JT group buy, which is now closing on the 6 month mark with few deliveries and no info.

Interested in the AWD catback Supersport

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I also bought the supersport system over the weekend. No ETA provided yet, but hopefully it arrives soon!

Hello everyone
Sorry for the late feedback I have been busy with work and haven't had the chance to drive the car at a variety of different roads to give it a fair review.
As you have all seen the tail pipes extend all the way out through the diffuser, effectively removing the oem tips or any tips for that matter.
It worked really well in terms of eleminating all vibrations coming from the tips and the shorter tail pipes in the previous design.
The look is subjective, I personally prefer the round shape than oval, and I was going to get them changed hadnot for the new extended tail pipes.
I wished they were more bigger as there are some gaps still visible but not really terrible. I however like how they made the outer tail pipes shorter than the inner ones really does suite the rear end and the idea that it's the same bore all way out with no tips is classic.
The exhaust note is really good I couldn't attach any videos in the forum but they are on my Instagram @Lifemissioner
There is however still some drone present at 2rpm. In City driving is acceptable however in motorway @70mph the drone is heavy base and intolerable at least for myself.
I either have to shift down to keep the rpm above 2rpm however the car would revert back to auto eventually and cruise on 8th gear. The other way would be to drive a litter faster 80-90mph (illegal speed) so the rpm would settle just above 2rpm while cruising on 8th gear.

Thanks for your report. Can I get out of this deal? The tips and drone even with thru-tips feels like a deal-breaker for me.

Just email them and they will cancel your order. That is what I did.

So given what you've said are you still keeping the exhaust or removing it?

Dam so it's intolerable.....and tips extend all the way out :(

Good question, but looking at the alternatives they all pretty much drone at that 1900 - 2000rpm. Unless I go the evc route its pretty much either oem or a bit of compromise to get sporty exhaust.

I have the first gen QS and going to be taking mine into an exhaust shop this week. They specialize in sport exhausts in my area. I am thinking if they can't reduce the drone/vibrations, I will try to go with the stock mufflers/qs h pipe to see if that removes it.

Thanks for the information, it is greatly appreciated.

I always wondered how did the QS first gen sounded from the videos online it's really is nice. My question really did it drone at at all around 1900-2000 rpm?
Would be keen on hearing the results after your visit to the exhaust shop.

As for the drone at 2k+, yes, it is present. I have also put sound dampening materials in the trunk to help reduce it. When you are cruising around 75 mph for a long period of time, it is just a steady deep base tone that gets on your nerves quickly which is what I am attempting to resolve.

Also in my experience, at real low RPM's (climbing a hill under 20 mph, in smart mode, or very slow take offs) I would get vibrations in the center console. I have gone to the extent of padding under the console with foam which seems to have removed it.

Besides those two things, I love the sound of the first generation exhaust as it is not to loud but louder than stock. When comparing it side by side with stock, it is a no brainier which is the winner. I just hope to solve the first issue as most of my driving is on the interstates.

My exhaust setup is ARK secondaries and First Gen QS cat back

Thanks very much for the detailed info. I completely forgot to add vibration on the center console on my original feedback.
I will try to put sound dampening on the boot floor and hopefully that would help reduce the drone abit.

So are you also experiencing the vibration in the center console?

Attached is what I ended up doing to help resolve it.
