PROUDLY WEAR YOUR KIA BADGE OR CHANGE IT?

Whaaat? So then you have to dremel them off and use just 3M to stick it on?

Well the prongs don't actually secure it to the car so even if it did line up it wouldn't matter.

I snapped two of the prongs off and secured it with the tape.

I just had a guy flat-out refuse to believe my car was made by Kia. He said it looks like a Mustang. He told me someone else told him it's a BMW.

He thought the Kia emblem was some kind of ironic joke or something.

So, for everyone wanting to leave the KIA emblem so people know what they're looking at--you still may have to do some convincing.

The Stinger in all trims does not look ANYTHING like a Mustang of any model year. :)

Dude, not even the right amount of doors...

But in his defense he was on a bicycle and had a beer in a brown paper bag, soooo....

I don't like the current KIA Badges either, i have no problem making people aware that it is a KIA, i mean hell i just paid a pretty good coin for it, so i will defend and stand behind my purchase decision, and can't wait to have those conversations with folks out on the road

Hi -can you please tell me where i can but these new badges and the ones for the wheel hubs?

Bought the front and rear badges from this forum and wheel caps from 3dcarstickers.com.

Those are the ones I sell here in the store as well - 3dcarstickers. However, I'm looking for a better, local solution. The quality is fine - but the 72 week shipping is unacceptable.

Correct, sir.
EDIT--the badge does come with 3m around the inside edge already in place, fyi :)

How hard does it take to remove the existing front or rear badge? Just use some force and pry it off with some tool? Also I'm wondering how effective the badge will be over time using only one prong and just the tape to hold it down.

I'll let others chime in on the removal since I haven't done it. However, you could check out the "how to's" right here: Kia Stinger How To's and Do It Yourself

As for the "pins" - you don't need any of them. Remove them all. 3M tape is all that sticks most OEM badges on cars...

I can say it wasn't hard at all. I used a heat gun, but when doing so make sure you do not keep the gun focused in one place or it can damage/wrinkle the paint. fan the gun around. I then shimmied fishing wire underneath it until i could pry it off with my fingers. i used denatured alcohol with a microfiber cloth and a little heat to remove the rest of the tape/glue. I would not cut all pins off, you just need to cut the bottom one as the other 2 allow you to center/align the front badge nicely. the 3M tape has a strong bond, you just need to make sure you clean the bottom area with the denatured alcohol well so there are no oils remaining. allow it cure 48 hours before washing or getting water on it.

Was pretty easy for me.

Have any of you installed the new front badge on a Stinger that has the clear "bra" installed from the factory? If so, did you just put it over it?

Dont think you willhave a problem with that. Just as long as you cover that clear bra!

So you think putting the new circle badge right over the clear bra is ok? It's going to be part on and part off because of the way the bra circles around the bottom of the oval Kia logo.
