PROUDLY WEAR YOUR KIA BADGE OR CHANGE IT?

My Stinger is my 7th KIA. I started out with a Sadona back in 2007 when I found out I was pregnant with twins. Seemed a perfect fit. As it being my 7th KIA, I am definatly not ashamed of the KIA badge. I am one of KIA's biggest fans, and tell everyone that will listen how great they are and how KIA has come a long way.

That being said, I did change my badges all around my Stinger because I just LOVE the look of the E-badge. The steering wheel will not be changed, because everytime I drive, I want to be reminded just how much I love my car, and where it came from. I do not regret it at all. :)

I'm mixing my badges a bit. The round KIA stays on the front hood and the steering wheel. I want them to know where it came from.
I am removing the small "Stinger" chrome badge from the left of the rear hatch lid and removing the KIA from the center, and replacing the center with a larger "Korean" spec "Stinger" chrome in the center. The "GT" and "AWD" remains on the right. I think the larger "Stinger" on the center is easier to read from the rear (which is where most people will first see the car.) By "teasing" people just a bit while still not hiding the KIA logos, makes them want to take a closer look.
I'm doing literally the exact same thing. I want people to know this is a Kia. The back badge will say Stinger and they'll be very curious as to what is on the front hood!

Plus, and I know I'll catch flack for this, that "E" badge is ugly as sin, in my opinion. Looks like sideways Batman. The Kia logo isn't anything pretty either but I'd rather get "that's a Kia?" than "oh so you were ashamed of the Kia badge". Also...E for Excellence?

I was at a warehouse picking up some supplies so my trunk was up and I had some of the office staff come up to me ask what kind of car it was. They said it looked cool like a maserati or a Ferrari. Then they went to the front and saw the Kia and was like this a Kia? Wow. How much did you pay. Oh nvm I'd rather keep my Audi. I don't drive no kias.

I am not ashamed that it's a Kia or that I paid this much for a Kia. But I did order the E emblem to somewhat differentiate it from a standard kia. To show that this isn't just another Kia.

I do see what you mean, like the pony symbol for the Mustang. It's just a shame Kia didn't make it an official thing for the US.

Exactly. It's just letting people know yes this is a so and so regular brand. But this is their performance series. Kind of like an M or AMG badging. I wish they would have done it like in Korea.

I'm thinking about the script K badge, the korean market badge.

Soooo, are yawll gonna keep your Kia badge or change it up? If changing it, whats your reason?
Im proud of my KIA badge and love people’s reactions when they keep guessing Maserati, but I say no look closer, it’s the new KIA! It’s priceless and makes me feel like it’s a secret club that I knew about before everyone else.;) People are finally catching on that this is NOT the same KIA it was 10 Years ago! Makes me think of a song quote “Started from the bottom, now we’re here!”:D:rofl:
KIA owner and “promoter” for life!!!

Thats when you look at those people and tell them "You'll never experience the great pleasures in life if all you care about is a dam badge". Those types of excuses infuriate the shit out of me. Like the piece of plastic on the hood makes .02 difference in how the car drives. Read the reviews, go take a test drive, and make your own decisions. But in case you can't, I have this great BMW/Audi/MB approved underwater golf course I'd love to sell you at a great price. Interested?

I may do the Stinger script in the back, just because I think it looks better. Hood badge..... Don't know yet, but probably leave it just for the 'Thats a Kia?!' comments. The wheel center caps I will probably change to the GT badge, if they ever make them in yellow lol.

Proudly Kia, but using their OEM home market badge to personalize it whilst keeping it under the corporate umbrella... :)

Looks really nice on blue :) Matching colors. I can't use it on my white/red car, looks weird.

I have to agree. As it was explained in the Stinger Experience Tour, the whole "fueled by youth" goes a bit deeper than the car making you feel young again. LOL The ultimate message is that Kia has only been in the United States for about 25 years. So -- the 90's where the infant teething years; the 2000's where the awkward teenage years; and now they are well into their mid 20's -- and they are ready to make a statement. And they want the attention and they are still young.

Other manufacturers, by comparison, are seniors stuck in their ways. Kia continues to grow and push themselves -- and their design, quality, and now performance, prove that.

I'm keeping my badges on.
