PROUDLY WEAR YOUR KIA BADGE OR CHANGE IT?

Got my front "E" and rear "Stinger" badges today, ordered from this forum.

Great quality and nice detail with the front badge! Will be installing them when I get my car in a couple of weeks!

Gonna keep the KIA badges, Stinger has shocked the automotive world with their first attempt at a GranTurismo vehicle, when i take delivery of my Stinger, when im driving and people turn their heads, i want them to know its a KIA, and im sure they will be shocked to see such a beautiful performance car with a Kia badge, which has tested faster than the local Holden Commodore 6.2ltr V8 LS3, 0 - 100kph. Also, not everyone has heard of, or seen a Stinger, Tv commercials here in Australia are set to take off on New Years Day. Im looking forward too showing it off as is.

My thoughts exactly, agree 100%

Does anyone aside from Kia and Ford have just their name as a logo? At least Ford's is in a scripty font. Kia has worked so hard to change their brand image since 2007, they really ought to have a logo change go with it. I'm sure Peter Schreyer could take 30 minutes and come up with something that blows away "KIA" in a block font on a black oval.

I think at the very least they should have a car specific badge for the stinger. Akin to the mustang cobra..

Nissan, FIAT to name a few. Personally not crazy about seeing the name of the brand in the logo. It's as though the badge logo can't stand on its own and people need to be told what it is.

I totally forgot about Nissan! Fiat is at least with Ford in that their logo has some color I guess. My other pet peeve aside from boring logos are boring alphanumeric car models. Kia's got the dull logo but at least they called it the Stinger instead of the K750 or something bland.

I will keep the KIA badges. Just too lazy to change them. And: the car looks great, with or without the KIA badges.

Whatsa wrong with the Kia badge anyway. Think it's boring and crappy being just an oval with the brand name? If it's good enough for these two it's good enough for anyone-

Both are super boring and cost more by heaps. Ford is just as boring but purchase a Ford GT for mega bucks and that's what you get.

I'm mixing my badges a bit. The round KIA stays on the front hood and the steering wheel. I want them to know where it came from.
I am removing the small "Stinger" chrome badge from the left of the rear hatch lid and removing the KIA from the center, and replacing the center with a larger "Korean" spec "Stinger" chrome in the center. The "GT" and "AWD" remains on the right. I think the larger "Stinger" on the center is easier to read from the rear (which is where most people will first see the car.) By "teasing" people just a bit while still not hiding the KIA logos, makes them want to take a closer look.

Loud and Proud for me!

If you look at some of the great brands, like Toyota and Honda and others, they also had humble beginnings. Do you remember the original Civic? Or, the Corolla and the Corona from the 1960s? You go through this period and it’s a generational thing. I think for us, one of the key points is the fact that we have the Kia badge loud and proud on the front and back of the Stinger.

We had this massive discussion about “why don’t we hide the Kia badge and just put Stinger on the front?” We considered hiding the fact that it’s a Kia. We’ve noticed a lot of folks pry the badges off of their Optima. They love the car but they can’t stand the badge or the brand. I think it’s just going to take time. It’s going to take time and experience in the marketplace.

I tend to agree with you @StingMe. You'll note on mine there is a KIA badge on the hood, KIA hubs on the wheels and the larger "Stinger" on the rear center. I think the larger Stinger looks better and is easier to read, and by removing the smaller Stinger on the left side, it avoids redundancy. Only removed one KIA badge and left 6 and made the Stinger larger so people could read it without being right on top of the car.

In time, Kia will be a respected marque among the players, but it will take time, and they desperately need to upgrade many of their older, out-of-date dealership facilities to better cater to more upscale buyers.

Soooo, are yawll gonna keep your Kia badge or change it up? If changing it, whats your reason?
I have a Corvette and it doesn't have a Chevrolet badge, it says Corvette. Everyone has come to know that Chevrolet makes Corvettes. I think KIA hit a home run With the Stinger and it should be known as a Stinger. KIA will become well known for making the car without saying so.

I've come to "accept" the fact that I own my first Kia, but I actually don't like the look of the KIA badge and much prefer the sophistication embodied in the "E" badge.

I currently own an Optima, a sorento and a stinger so the badges will stay on all 3 as factory Kia badges. I’m proud to be a Kia owner and compared to all my friends I believe I got better value in my cars with greater reliability, warranty, performance, gas mileage etc etc.

Let them waste their money on the bmw Audi Lexus Mercedes but the unfortunate thing is they need me and my Kia’s to drop them off and pick them up from the dealership because they know my cars will be on the road instead of broken in the shop.

Personally, I don't mind if KIA is in letters all across my cars ... I'm no brand victim. But it annoys me that the KIA emblem looks so bland :P

Hey @Paisley thought you had forgotten about the forum! We missed your pink hair!
Yes my badges front and back are staying but will change the wheel caps. I have a few surprises with some cool badges to show everyone but I’m not showing yet because I don’t have the car. The stuff I’ve found and the mods will look very different but not cheap. I guess you all will have to wait and see! :p
