PRESSERtech Kia Stinger GT Dyno RESULTS!!

Hey Guys, as you know, we dont get on the forums much because we really don't want to try and influence people or try to be more than what we are. Vortex is right that a 1:1 gear ratio is the only judge of a tune but I would like to clear up a couple of misconceptions. You see, we don't just try to get the most power out of a Stinger because that's easy to do. We can get crazy numbers as we can with most vehicles but, the question you have to ask yourself is are you driving a graph or a car? We've always believed that drivability and longevity are more important than numbers. We think our tune has a balance of both. The Stinger is a brilliant platform tuned or stock. Put the windows down, the music up and enjoy the drive! Have a great weekend.
You need to offer a meth tune. A lot of the tuners are offering it and it is a great longevity mod since it helps keep the valves clean. Also please recommend an oil catch can to your customers. That's another great longevity mod. Heck for that price might as well include one with the tune! That way the car does not start losing the power that someone paid to gain.

and that is 100% why I choose Pressertech and why I'm so happy with it! I got 26k on my car no issues, enough added tq to really notice and great response on throttle over stock! You guys been at this a long time even though the stinger is so new and I will never stop singing your praises guys!! I classify this as a great, reliable daily driving tune that you can feel in your backside:) oh and a plus is that I've averaged 2mpg more consistently since getting your tune!
Great work guys!

he must of posted the stock dyno run from last year.
I have this tune and is far and away better than stock.

This isn't the first time someone with a Pressertech tune has had abysmal results on the dyno. It is quite interesting that this keeps happening to Pressertech specific vehicles.

I'm glad that Arnie is being so open with us and sharing dyno/draggy results throughout his tuning adventures. Hopefully he was able to get a 1:1 run Friday.

I have no idea what you are talking about.
I have never heard anything bad about Pressertech.
My car absolutely screams with their tune and is a pleasure to drive.
Others here that have their tune are happy with it as well.

Lol, calm down fella. I didn't say anything bad about your preferred tuner, how well the cars they tune behave, or how people feel about their tune.

I said this isn't the first time someone has had bad/broken results on a dyno with Pressertech's tune and that I'm glad Arnie is keeping us all apprised on his various trials and tribulations throughout his tuning journey.

I'm not sure what you're disagreeing with exactly. *shrugs*

nothing but calm other here.
just refuting hearsay with my firsthand experience.

You aren't refuting anything. You're saying 'I love pressertech, they are great, my car is awesome, everyone is happy, nothing to see here' in response to me mentioning the horrible luck people with their tune have on a dyno. And the only way your experience is "first hand" is if you had your Pressertech tuned car dyno'd and have different results to post. Otherwise we aren't even talking about the same thing. You're defending against an attack that hasn't even happened. How to be a victim 101.

you have no experience.
just running your mouth.
welcome to my ignore list.

Regarding my original post, here's someone else's horrid luck with their crazy dyno saga. The crap those dyno operators put this dude through...

Ummmm. Had NOTHING to do with the tune, and everything to do with the knowledge of the dyno operation.
... Also, you can't compare without knowing a host of other variables. Ambient temp, density altitude, ect...

Forget the dyno, two days ago my buddy came down, stock engine gt2 rwd. Intakes and ark exhaust, running factory ps wheels.
Me gt1 rwd intake, midpipes, Pressertech
$97 mile star tires, ha! New rims coming, Thea were my hold over tires.

we lined up on back road side by side, I spun in 1st and 2nd (I can spin the tires at 48mph, that’s how cheap they are), he spun slightly in first and that was all.

I had to let off throttle twice and I still pulled ahead by 3/4 car length and continued to pull ahead until we let off at about 80mph.

Pressertech is a conservative tune but a high quality tune for those that want it with real gains.

add the increased responsiveness and improved gas mileage and I love it.

if all u care about is power go another route. For me I’m happy.

I'll chime in just because I feel like it. ALL tunes have had there issues. If a tune/tuner hasn't had an issue, then they are not tuning.

9ADB7B60-AC39-4F5B-9263-4269D0569D5C.webp This is my little test this morning on my AWD Stinger GT with the Pressertech tune with full gas tank and full fluids :)

those are almost stock numbers
When most are testing with minimum fuel and fluids, I wanted to test with fuel and washer fluid fully top up :) ( as much as I could fill up right to the top ) . The smoothness of this Pressertech tune even with crappy Canada gas was excellent as it was tuned only for 91 octane value !

The troubles I was having first with the Tune , was in fact the same with the highest map for Race Chip (Going into limp mode) turns out to be the Chevrons 94 gas , that I was always using since the purchase of the car in September 2018.

After discussion with the local tuner of Classified Motorsports, he suggested that I try the Shell V power which is a 91 octane level, so I did change to the Shell gas ⛽️ and believe it or not no more limp mode ,
So with that mild Pressertech tune , I have really been pleased now with it on the smoothness on a hard throttle, and this Awd Stinger weighs about 4100 lbs and it my DD car :)
Now I also went back at previous Dragy test with the fastest RC map and it seems that Pressertech tune is a great all around tune and according to Classified Motorsports who looked after the shipping of my ECU to Pressertech and , they dealt directly with Scott their Pressertech tuner about the troubles I was having and even they were a bit baffled with what was going on . They even sent out another ECU tuned a bit different but with the same results, but with that being said , by only changing the type gas I was using did if fact fix the whole darn problem:)
For all my US friends , your gas kicks ass but here in Canada not so Great from my own trial s , and on that note after doing 4 weeks on launches lol my Pressertech tune has not failed even once with 91 Shell V Power gas ⛽️ , So on the Area 27 circuit track and if given the opportunity to lap it , I it won’t failed as it did last year under hard throttle:)
I am fully aware that there more aggressive tunes out there and some still working a final strong stage 2 tune , but dam this Pressertech tune work like it came from the factory this way , just my honest opinion:)
