Hi All,
We’re just following up as promised on the Stinger GT Performance Tune we did a couple of weeks ago. We knew the Kia was impressive, but we weren’t sure of the numbers. We had some in the back of our minds and in the seat of our pants after driving but as you all know, the proof is when you get to the dyno.
Conditions were certainly harsh as you’d expect for a summer day in Atlanta. The humidity was 63% and the temperature was a mere 94F inside the shop. We tried our best to keep the car as cool as possible by running three fans, but it was still a little heat soaked.
Well, while expecting to make excuses for the weather, the Kia did what it did all along and simply impressed the hell out of us. We couldn’t be happier with the results.
The Kia Stinger GT has 365HP and 376LBS-FT Torque at the crank. We can adjust that, at the wheels by decreasing 15%.
Our test vehicle was in 5th gear which has a 1:00-1 ratio and its wheels were turning 130MPH when it reached its peak of 459 Horsepower and 522LBS-FT of Torque. Even adjusted, we are thrilled with the results. It is simply amazing what Kia have accomplished with this car!
So, there you have it;
Kia Stock numbers: 365HP and 376LBS-FT
Pressertech Numbers: 459HP and 522LBS-FT
The only difference from Stock is a K & N High Flow Air Filter.
We are pricing our full upgrade at $1250 Stage 1 / Intermediate tune at $950
You’ll see from our Dyno graph that it uses the more modest SAE correction...
