PRESSERtech Kia Stinger GT Dyno RESULTS!!

I would do this in an absolute heartbeat!! I've tuned my last 7 vehicles, most recently a M-B C300 tuned in exactly the same way as you describe by Kleemann USA. Your tuning results are making this VERY appealing!!! Unfortunately.....(from another thread)......

Found out yesterday that my niece (more like a daughter to me) was accepted to a post secondary school Diagnostic Medical Sonography program--one of six positions offered to first time applicants straight out of high school (out of a class of twenty) in a program that sees 850 applicants (she finished her last high school semester with a 94 average). Sadly, her divorced mother cannot afford the education costs, and her father has engineered it so she does not qualify for any government assistance. I cannot let such a brilliant mind go to waste, so I will be funding her education. As such, no intakes or any other car mods for at least a year, maybe longer.

Wow Jonathan. That is a tough one for sure. You are obviously a man of great character. I'm sure we could all learn something from you. Good luck sir.

This may have been answered but if so I missed it; is the tune detectable by the service department? If for some reason they need to reflash the ECU, will it overwrite the tune?

We code within the same software version so the chances of them knowing you have a tune at the service level are low but certainly not impossible. If it is ever overwritten by the dealer, will will reflash the ECU for free. You just pay for shipping. The same goes if you ever want to put the car back to stock. We will keep your original tune and the performance tune on file for 5 years from the time of purchase. This is not just something we say because we're new on this forum, it goes for every tune regardless of car brand. Cheers.

So maybe I missed it but are your numbers from the crank or wheels? How would someone who lives out of state do this?

Both sets of numbers are on the report at the top of the thread but the process is simple. You remove your ECU, ship it to us. We will tune it and turn it around within 24 hours (weekdays) and send it back. It's very simple.

Ok so 393 at the wheels (50 or so HP increase) and what looks like power loss under 4500 RPM? Am I reading the dyno right?

The graph is a single dyno result, with a line each for HP and torque. Torque gradually falls off as HP climbs, so the lines cross around the 4500 mark. Make sure you read the correct values for each curve (on each side of the graph).

Thank you!!!

Also, the 365 HP number published by Kia is at the crank. Once you add the approximate powertrain losses back into the graphed result of 393 WHP, the apparent HP gain is much more, closer to 100 HP than 50 - assuming the stock setup would have matched Kia's published number on that dyno.

It’s hard to say and see how the power curve is compared to stock without a dyno run on the same car without the tune.

PRESSERtech....will you sell a spare ECU with your tunning???

Absolutely, we are trying to find a good source for stock computers. In the meantime, you are welcome to source one yourself and send us both computers. We will leave your orig stock and flash the new computer with your cars immobilizer data and program data, ghen tune it!

Any issues with CEL?

No, we have put 1k miles on car. When we calibrate the software with our tune we keep adjust the parameters to turn on cel. Basically, the cel will come on just like it would if there was a problem in factory flash. From what i have read the cel probs seem to occur with piggyback modules. This is an ECU calibration.

Thank you, just wanted to know, would not want the check engine light driving me crazy.
