Just came back from a local exhaust shop. Took them about 45 minutes to install.
Here are a couple clips I uploaded on youtube.
I'm no audiophile, you'll have to deal with my cell phone recordings.

First, Jun.BL downpipes (secondary cat delete) + Stock Catback

Secondly, MBRP catback paired with Jun.BL downpipes.

It sounds great but is there any drone at highway speeds?

Here is what my ARK secondary downpipes sound like couldn't do much reving because I live in an apartment building and my garage is next to an apartment, must suck for them.

Wondering how MBRP will sound with this, yours sounds pretty fantastic to me.

Also, I'm not sure why there is a squeak when I press the throttle might need to get that checked.

I'll preface this by saying drone is subjective and people have different definitions of it.

Here's just some initial impressions.

When I installed downpipes, I got a very slight reverberation in the cabin that could easily be drowned out by the radio.
Just a short highway drive back to work, 2-3k RPM cruising, that noise is amplified with the catback. It doesn't help we have a hatchback.
Theres a reason why a lot of folks put sound deadening in the boot. I'll probably do the same.
My current set up reminds me of the straight up Borla catback that I sat on briefly in terms of cabin volume.

Driving through the neighborhood, you can still sneak in late at night without waking everyone up.
Sound upon acceleration is going to be dramatically different if you haven't experienced an aftermarket catback in your stinger.
The exhaust note went from embarrassingly quiet to noticable - but not obnoxious.
I appreciate the fact its not raspy or has a rattle and provides a deeper tone.

Wow, that actually sounded better than I anticipated.

First I just have to say again your exhaust sounds amazing and the perfect combination of deep, throaty growl without obnoxious volume & horrible rasp some DPs & catbacks have!

But Im telling you bro, the real solution is to prevent the resonance from reverberating back into the open area under the hatch. You do not need dyno mat or any sound deadening materials with the latest drone fix. See my post and the video I referenced from ascidiic.

Easily eliminated almost all of my drone and only cost $11.99 and a little elbow grease.:D

Hey just wondering if you got a metal rattle/rasp with the jun bl downpipes and oem cat back. When I had Jun bl with factory catback under heavy load I got a rattle rasp sound from around 2000-2500. That rattle drove my nuts until I got the jun evc catback then it was gone.

So all you’re doing is separating the exhaust exit from the open area, basically?

Weird, can't say I had the same experience with that setup.

Missed the original post, that's an interesting solution I'll have to try.

So do you think most decent exhaust shops can install catbacks in this car with no problem? These are not that common and I am just cautious.

That does sound wonderful.

I'd love a few driving video's, normal take off, aggressive and full beans!

MBRP doesn't sound raspy at all!

You unbolt the stock catback, wiggle some hangers loose, bolt the new one on, and wiggle the hangers back on. Personally I see no reason why you can't do it yourself if you know how to operate a ratchet or wrench but if you really want to pay someone, nobody should have any issue unbolting and re-bolting some pipes onto a car.

Easiest Catback Install I’ve ever done. Install on my FR-S was hellacious. You can easily do this install with standard tools a set of jack stands. Things get infinitely easier if you remove the cross brace (just unbolt, wiggle it, and swing it to one side). You don’t even have to remove it completely. Make sure you have some penetrating oil and you’re golden.
