Sorry, but how is an OTS tune "perfect"? They can be very good, but custom tuning will always (if you have a competent tuner) net you better results. Each car and situation is different. Otherwise, every car from the factory would run the same times and produce the same #'s on a dyno...they don't. It's nice to have a tuner willing to make adjustments depending on mods, fuel, elevation, temps, etc.They have been tuning KDM cars for 20+ years.
No revisions were ever needed for the Optima platform that you tuned or modded. I’m having the same experience as them right now. Stage 2.5 tune is perfect.
Unlike jb4 that continuously needs adjustment due to fighting oem ecu limiters, a properly mapped vehicle is the way to go.
I unfortunately never had Jb4 but in a couple of weeks it seems a handful of people have switched over from jb4 to Lap3 ecu tune so they’ll be able to tell you more.
Also, I didn't tune or mod an Optima.
