for sure, love it. it does rub a little bit on the top but there was no way to adjust the muffler itself enough to get it 100% perfect. it is what it is, i dont hear any sound from it touching the diffuser on that one point while driving. it doesnt seem to get hot enough to melt either since its a 2 layer tip. does yours fit perfectly in the cutouts without touching?

It’s like looking in a mirror - yep, same for mine. The mufflers don’t perfectly line up which has a couple of the tips rubbing the diffuser. I haven’t noticed any rattling while driving either so I haven’t bothered to trim. The only rattle I’ve noticed is when idling or closing the hatch hard.

Man, I installed a borla catback about a week and a half ago and love the sound, however certain rpms, uphill etc theres for sure a crazy (but tolerable to me not the gf) reverb/drone unless i feather the throttle. ended up doing the sound deadening and it helped a little bit.. then ended up getting tips like most suggested and oh boy that was night and day difference. just clean exhaust noise now, no reverb or drone. if i want to be quiet i can be. well worth paying the 100$ for express shipping from ALIEXPRESS.. got my tips in 5 days from hk->hawaii.. . hope people really try the tips before they give up on the borla being too loud.. theres like no cabin noise now... it's almost too quiet unless i open the windows lol it's great!View attachment 56288

Thats good news then, i just received the Borla exhaust on Friday and im still waiting for the tips from Aliexpress. I previously sound deadened the boot and under the back seat. I had the Ark grip exhaust the drone was horrendous so its good news i hear such positive feed back about the Borla.

yeah, i mean its a louder exhaust so youll hear something but its just exhaust noise now. my commute to work involves going up a mountain daily for a few miles so it was pretty awful. I hear just exhaust noise now as opposed to exhaust noise + a deep loud AF humming which bothered my ears. cruising around city or regular freeway driving i have nothing but a nice exhaust tone when i need it. no annoying loud deep hum at certain rpms. If I drive in comfort I really don’t hear anything at all.... it’s very quiet . But sport mode it’s way louder since higher rpms

Had the same experience, got my borla installed about a month or so ago and just added the tips a week ago. Before the tips I was kind of regretting the exhaust as inside the car it was so damn loud at low rpm and cheapened the experience of the car. After installing the tips it just sounds amazing, perfect exhaust tone and nothing else, quiet when I want it to be and still screams when I floor it. Plus I can hear my intake pffsssshttt over the exhaust again which is nice lol.

yeah totally agree, I was having some regret as well, sometimes it was just really annoying inside the cabin, i probably would of gotten tired of it and went back to stock or went a diff route if the tips didnt work as well as they did lol. cant imagine ever going back to stock now, its like it matches the car perfectly. wouldnt have it any other way. really enjoy the car now!

Leaning towards it, $950 isn't a bad price.. did you use factory tips? Any annoying drone? How much you pay?

I used stainless tips from aliexpress. I paid $783 shipped on Black Friday. Yes, I’m sure it’s the stainless unit. Part # and magnet test both confirm it. No drone at all.

Just measured my Tork Motorsports muffler delete:

interior: 45 db warm, 64 cold at idle
Exterior: 70 db warm, 79db cold at idle

driving at 2500-3000 rpm (just out of drone): 65 db inside

I have chrome single wall tips on my mbrp with stock downpipes. I’ve measured temps after driving with a temp gun and they don’t exceed 120 F. I think those that have issues have swapped out down pipes as well.

update to this. I took the car on a 3.5 hour road trip and measured the temps right when I got home. 160F or so inside the tips, 135 outside. No damage to bumper but the tips are not in constant contact with the bumper.

That is the dyno presented by kunstwerk. I confirmed the question of any other mods, they said NO just cat cack and secondary cat deletes. Hope this clears it up. I will confirm I love the sound in all forms but my favorite is with downpipes and open. The quality and craftsmanship, and fit were perfect.

Are they still selling the kunstwerk exhaust ?
