Just want to hear anyone’s suggestion on replacement pads on the Brembo Calipers. Thanks.

It's been 3 days since I swapped out the stock pads for Powerstop Z26 Street Warrior pads (all wheels)

They stop the car very well they do not pulse like stock pads.

So far I'd recommend them... Even though I haven't had them for long. I dare say... They shoot at the walls of heartache... ;)

Interesting okay I’ll check into them. Got a link with a good price by any chance?

Bosch Quietcast Ceramic. BC1001 and BC2144

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I highly recommend our K8SS Elite Sport Ceramic Brake Pads. These are the pads that I use on my car and they perform well on my daily commute or when I want to do more spirited driving. These pads are purpose built to eliminate the negative effects you experience from the OEM pads. If you would like to purchase or find more information you can view the product page: (FOUND HERE).

They’re a little bit pricier than the reds. I might o with those next.

The only downside is that they squeak a little when wet, but then again most performance pads do.

Well. I would be ,,,putting the original pads in. Why? Because Kia put Bembro Brakes on it which you paid for. Tested at Nuremburg then offered a warranty........

I read a lot about after market changes to make cars better then I read about all the problems owners have.

I sorta figure that when they build the car they do a pretty good job at sorting out the suspension, the exhaust, the performance and that's what you are paying for.

If the parts were crap they wouldn't want to offer the warranty. In the case of Australia, 7 years unlimited kms.

Yes I get wear and tear brake pads not included but premature failure IS included.

I would stick with the original stuff. Kia put the premium brakes on the car................

Except Kia dident put premium brakes on the car (at least in the USA) they put a premium piston system on and then cheaped out on the pads. Every single Pad offered for the Stinger is an improvement over the OEM ones in at least one if not multiple ways. If they where not, nobody would be buying them. (not to mention the testing has been done on here and results have been shown and proven)

The form is aware that the Australian and European cars got actually decent breaks from the factory, so considering how you talk about it in kilometers per hour instead of miles per hour, it makes me think that you are in one of those two parts of the world.

I don't recommend that you base your decisions on a manufacturers implication of quality based on offering a warranty. Further, brake pads aren't covered under warranty.

Yes, I would usually agree but in this particular instance I’ve personally seen a lot of stinger gt owners reporting warping of the rotors due to the oem pads.

Everyone’s solution is to use aftermarket pads for this issue.

I had to.

I did mention Australia.....

In July 1974, Australia changed all its units of measurement to the metric system. Because of this all the road speed signs and the legal speed limits were changed from miles per hour to kilometres per hour

Most countries in the world use kilometres, note we spell it kilometres in the English/Australian/European spelling.

Eventually I expect the USA will convert to metric. 1 litre (we spell it litre), 1 litre equals 1 kilo. 1000 kilos equals 1 tonne. 1000 litres also equals 1 tonne. So much easier. 100kmh..........pretty much the standard max speed limit.

The Australian delivered Kia seems to have a far better warranty. One of the reasons I bought the new Stinger GT in January then a second new one in March is because of the 7 year unlimted kilometre warranty. We also get free roadside assist for 7 years if it is ever needed.

As far as rotors someone mentioned, they may warp due to the OEM pads. Possibly. European cars such as awful BMWs use very soft rotors and hard pads so maybe they are on Kias. Hopefully not.

The G8 V8 I owned prior (Commodore SSV) had hard rotors and softer pads.........you got these.
