Drag/Acceleration Launching at the drag strip?

Ok that makes sense. So basically, even with the brake snip, you are launching the same way? Holding the brake with the gas pedal to the floor?
Yes. With LC or Weak Brake Snip its full throttle and i can hold it from the first to last yellow light or even up to a few seconds if needed. With Beast mode you cant really watch the lights and its real quick or its just insane spin. But i also do beast mode full throttle. First light yellow, look down and start power brake and let off as the RPM passes 2500 regardless what the tree says and hope you cut it fairly close.

See that’s what is confusing. My thought would be that if the brake snip is done, in a RWD, if you hold the brake and give it too much gas you will just do a burnout, hence the “burnout switch” name the mod was given. That nothing will stop the RPMs from going up to redline, other than taking your foot off the gas. Since that is the whole point of the mod. Maybe it’s different since you are AWD?

So you are pretty close to spot on in my opinion. I had good luck sitting on boost for about a whole second or so for my launches. After you do a good burnout your tires should be hot enough that they will bite better and be harder for them to spin on the line. At least when you are at a track. But if you don’t air down there is no luck of that happening

In your g70, when you launch using brake snip, are you just holding the brake while you push the gas to the rpm you want, where you are building the boost you want and then going? I’m assuming the gas pedal isn’t to the floor on that?

I know some rwd guys don't floor it. But even when you do floor it the throttle is pretty random in beast mode, could be 100% or 40%. It usually starts high comes down and goes back up which is what makes it so hard to use. You can see it in logs.

Yes I hold the brake, push the gas pedal to the floor and pretty much wait for the tach to hit about 2800 then side step the brake. Like tonka said the throttle can variate randomly and my best one was a 13.9 psi launch and my throttle was at 92. I’ve attached a couple pics of the log that shows boost level at 0 mph with rpm and even boost at 1 mph. I can attach a video as well just give me a minute to get the link for it

Do you know if anyone has tried pulling the fuse for the auto start/stop to see if that helps keep the brake snip in beast mode?

We need to sit around and wait for the auto stop light to flash on the dash and then you might get the strong launch for a few launches and at some point it reverts to lameness.

I got the brake snip in early days but never really experimented much with it, i might give it a try tonight...
If the orange auto start flashes on my dash then that means it will be beast mode?
So beast mode u go full throttle after 2nd light and let go at 3rd?
If "weak" snip u go full throttle at the first light?

My early snip test i was seeing my 3500 rpms, maybe i was on beast mode without knowing...

So beast mode has no rpm limiter
And weak snipped has a rev limiter?

Weaker mode is ok to use first and third light.
Beast mode i would never take my eye off the the tach. But it should also stop at 2900 rpm until something goes wrong. If you have already hit 3500 I would be very careful.

Without auto start / stop I don't think it would even go into beastmode. Beastmode seems to happen when the ecu tries to engage auto start/stop and notices no brake signal.

My best 60' so far (I'm RWD). Using the brake snip.

Guys, apologies in advance for my ignorance. I have an all-wheel-drive model and I have been researching the heck out of the brake Snip mod. What is the “weak” snip?

Thank you

Yes that 1.87 60’ was with only intakes and brake snip. I just got a 1.80 with JB4, Intakes, snip.
