Very nice! I haven't seen that style front badge before - where did you get?

Based upon this poll, rather than making our cars unique by changing badges, we are making them less so since 80%, a clear majority are removing/changing the badges. I suspect, however, those who responded to the poll are not an unbiased sample of all Kia Stinger owners and most owners will be leaving theirs stock. I probably will change a few of the badges on our Stinger too, just to personalize our car. I especially want to add some red accents to our Panthera Metal Stinger, like the red GT badges that go on the wheels' center caps. It’s not just Kia owners who change their badges. I see Chevy owners swapping to Holden badges and Buick owners swapping to Opel badges. It’s just a way to set your car apart from the thousands of similar cars on the road. For how long did Toyotas ride around with Lexus badges here in the USA while they all wore Toyota badges in Japan? Badge engineering has been going on for decades. Especially at GM.
Away from the forum out in the "Wild" the majority of the cars I see are badges unchanged. Here in the forum amongst enthusiasts I'm not surprised with 80/20 rebadged.Based upon this poll, rather than making our cars unique by changing badges, we are making them less so since 80%, a clear majority are removing/changing the badges. I'm also keeping mine stock. Why would one want to rebadge? Are they embarrassed of the KIA logo?Day 1. Keeping mine stock.![]()
Those of us that " Rebadge " are not embarrassed at all by the Kia badge. In Korea they come out with different badges, Stingers have the " E " on the front which means " Engineered with excellence " and the large Stinger Script on the back. The ' Kia ' badges which stand for " Arising out of Asia " are only put on the imported stock. Why would one want to rebadge? Are they embarrassed of the KIA logo?
I myself am proud of it. They build damn good vehicles.

Exactly, we have already discussed this in a previous thread that lead to a " bum fight " so we really don't want to go down that path again.....Been discussed ad nauseam......
The current KIA logo is a bit dated and as FLAMEANGEL stated , they use the E in Korea....script Stinger just looks so much better IMHO -YMMV ......if you want to keep then have at it.....questioning other's motive however isn't necessary
To me (just my opinion) it's like trying to hide the fact that it is a KIA. I Wouldn't take off the Chevy bowtie badge off my pickup and replace it with something else. Just my opinion. No offense intended. Just my opinion.Been discussed ad nauseam......

Sorry I'm new to the forum. I did not know I was beating a dead horse. I don't want to fight. I agree " ANY mods" should be the rule.Exactly, we have already discussed this in a previous thread that lead to a " bum fight " so we really don't want to go down that path again.....
each to their own, this means ANY mods![]()
I hear you Lawrence. Hardly any bowties. But......do a little research and you'll find Chevrolet is contemplating returning to the bowtie for the Corvette as they did in returning the Stingray name. The bow tie is Iconic. Perhaps the KIA badge too would have become Iconic if they decided to keep it like Fords iconic swirling hand written style badge. Old does not always mean out dated like a previous poster mentioned.I hear ya and that's a PRIME example.....think of the KIA STINGER as Chevrolet's version of a CORVETTE.....the halo car.....you'll see flags predominantly on a Corvette.....hardly any bowties! No offense taken btw.....

Not here either.Not here.
That's ok, just last time it got a bit outta hand with certain people putting their opinions onto others.Sorry I'm new to the forum. I did not know I was beating a dead horse. I don't want to fight. I agree " ANY mods" should be the rule.
If you want to put Polka dots on your Stinger that is up to you and I'll stand up for your right to do so. Okay?
