K badges instead of Kia front and rear.
K badge for wheel.
GT rear badge removed.
No wheel badges (custom wheels).

I'm going to remove front and rear K badges later on and plug holes + paint it i.e. go full badgeless.

Ok guys I finally took the plunge and removed my badges this afternoon. I was originally going to pay someone to do it but the shop called me today to reschedule. I decided at 3:30pm today to try it myself. I went and picked up some Goo-gone and some plastic spreaders. I used no heat or fishing line at all. It was lots of elbow grease and some gentle tugging but I finally got both front and rear badges off. I also removed the small Stinger badge as well. Most important, no scratches or paint chips whatsoever. The glue was a #$%#@ to get off and my fingers are rubbed raw and very sore but it was worth it. It did take 2 hours exactly because I did not use a heat gun or any type of fishing line I assume. By 5:30pm I was done and decided to clean all areas and put a coat of wax to remove the dirt ring from the Kia emblem which came off flawlessly. I then headed to Lowes and purchased some clear silicone caulk. I did not get a chance to apply it yet but tomorrow morning I will caulk the holes and apply the badges. I will post some pics when I am done. I also purchased the center wheel caps and the steering wheel emblem but those are easy to do. Thanks to all of you who encouraged me to do it. I faced my fears and got it done!

Pretty much replaced the front badge within a few days.

But really didn't like how the rear of the car looked with all the badging. Took the plunge and removed the Kia emblem and the small Stinger logo in the rear. Spent well over an hour massaging the areas with a bottle of goo-gone and some sacrificial microfiber towels. But the end result is much more minimalist, and I really like it.

The first car I debadged was my 1999 Subaru 2.5RS. Funny thing was that car was almost the same exact blue...

Is that a leading edge protector strip on your hood?
Good eye! You're the first to notice.

Got a good chip on the leading edge last week. My touch-up pen arrived yesterday. Might still run the protector, undecided if I hate it yet...

If I were so concerned about the brand of my car as opposed to the product, I wouldn't have bought it.

It's NOT the fact that the car is a KIA, It's the look and design of the emblem that we don't like! I think the forum members will agree that we are not embarrassed that is a KIA. In fact, I am happy to tell people it is when they ask!

To echo the sentiment here, cross market badging is totally a thing. I came from the Chevy community, and the popular badge modification was to get Opel spec grills and badges.

Customization is what you make of it. :)

I left all Kia badges in place, but removed 'Stinger and GT2' from rear. I had some black car wrap film that I used to cover all Kia badging, front, rear, wheels centre caps and steering wheel. I got the Stinger specific GT logos made for each location, stuck them on top of the black car wrap for a total re-badging cost of $10 bucks. Now nothing on the car says Kia except for the very small glass labelling. Kia gets more advertising from this because people want to know what the car is, then I get to talk with them about it. Pretentious types might just see Kia and keep on walking.

I hope they hold up for you. But, I guess if they start to degrade (look tatty) you can always duplicate what you did; keep it looking cool. That is a nice looking GT badge; very original.

Replaced my E badge up front, it was obviously a cheap copy as it never lined up properly . The badge had been on 2 years, I had concerns that there might be a difficulty In removing it. Not to be quite easy; Hairdryer, dental floss, then fishing line copious amounts of goo remover sprayed between hot blasts of the dryer . Followed by light weight plastic card and it just popped off. There wasn't even any residue this time. New E badge on and straight. Key: patience let the goo remover stuff do it's magic along with the dryer.

I meant to say, your method of getting the "GT" badge on the front and rear is original. :)

I’m not embarrassed the least bit I bought a Kia but the logo is just terrible.

I believe the stinger should be like the Hyundai Genesis and have their own logo.

The Stinger is seriously a different breed!
