• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

What did you do to your Stinger in Australia today?

Get used to it Coast many times ive had attractive women in the last 14 months look my way whilst piloting the Stinger. Being a man of reality i can assume its not because of me. Though sometimes i feel like the infant with the pork chop tied to it so the dog will play with them.:laugh::laugh:
If only she was attractive. As for the rest of your post, ditto ;)

It doesn’t flow if we suddenly start posting in another thread. Are you able to move all the OT stuff to Banter?

And while we’re on the subject, I don’t have a problem in the future if you think the OT stuff is getting out of hand in the wrong thread and unilaterally decide to move it to Banter. Anybody else?

Ok, today I did do something for my Stinger, I wanted to visit my local Kia Dealership in person, and I booked my 12 months 10,000kms Fixed Capped Price Service for next friday. I told the very attractive blonde young woman in the service dept, I did not want to bring in my Stinger and have it sitting there for 2 hours before it even got a start on being serviced, so she tells me, I will place a WAIT on your form, so when I drop it off at 07:50am on friday, it will be first to go into service, and should be finished by 10:00am, WE WILL SEE , even though I am waiting, I can use the Courtesy Bus to take me to the local shopping centre, where I can have breakfast, and will be picked up again at about 10:00am, a courtesy car can be booked for the day, I was told I would have to re-fill the tank with how much I had used....now that's abit of a joke to me, not happy with that, I and other customers just left our cars in your care , and will pay for your service, yet the dealership won't foot the fuel bill.

I also asked about which individual technician( as they call them now...:laugh::rofl:) will service my Stinger, she tells me, all our technicians are trained to work on Stinger( doesn't fill me with confidence ), with that done I look at a silver StingerGT sitting in the showroom, a MY19 with the bezelless screen, I saw it has the ambient interior lighting, it now also has the metal plates in the rear hatch, instead of the original all black plastic, I was saying to the saleman who sold me my Stinger, why in GOD's name didn't they just bring out all this in the first MY18s, Alright...I know..I know..but its frustrating to purchase a new car, then only 6 months into it's life it gets upgrades already...SUCKS ...especially after spending so much on it as well, they had a Deep Chroma Blue GT just like mine, $62,777 Driveaway MY18 i think, seen it there over a month ago, same car.
Anyway finish this post of what I did for my Stinger, not so much , what I did too it, sorry guys...but on the morning of the service I will video my Stinger everywhere, in case I go to pick it up, and the service guys have left me a gift to take home, like a scratch on the body, greasy handmarks or fingerprints, check under the front bonnet, the rear hatch, even if my programmed seating postion has been changed i will be pissed, I won't let them wash it, and even though it is impossible to avoid finger marks on the door handles, they should have presence of mind to have those wiped clean, because those finger marks will be on the front bonnet as well i am guessing.

Oppps, Wow, i got more words here than in any High school paper I had to do , that is what happens when you have a passion for something, and that something is STINGER ,...:):rofl:

I don’t think the 10,000km service takes too long I dropped mine off at 8-8:30 and they called me at 11:00 to say it was done and that included the diff oil change TSB, and the tow bar recall, which to be fair should’ve only involved them ticking a box on a computer as I don’t have a tow bar. They didn’t wash mine but out about 7km on the clock which would be the standard road test. Just wish I knew if they hammered it whilst driving those 7km. If only she could talk lol.

The fuel consumption data may indicate it for that trip.

7 Kms, isnt that alot for just a test drive, sounds too much for me ?
I think it was before and after the service, they had to drive it to try and get the diff problem I’d told them about which no doubt they didn’t believe, then they have to drive it afterwards to make sure it’s fixed plus they’re meant to drive it for the brake test etc. Funny thing is my diff didn’t really make a noise as much as I just felt it and only at low speed and usually only when the car is cold. On the service paperwork they gave me they claim test drive diff noise heard during low speed slow turns. I’d never heard a noise however the TSB related to a noise from the diff. I actually thought they’d knock it back if they couldn’t hear it but they didn’t so that’s good.

Was one of those raised lane separators at the entry point. I don't usually go in that entry but didn't want to park in the sun and misjudged the angle. Camera didn't pick it up either. I'll give it a gentle rub to take the sharp edges off. At least i've still got one good wheel.....but for how long?
I did the exact same thing on a raised lane separator. Grrr.

Mine took 5 hours! I had it booked in at 8am and asked the lady upon booking if they can work on it early instead of leaving it for 3 hours before servicing (as they did on my 3k check). She told me if would be taken in early (can't comment on her attractiveness as you guys seem to do. Sorry.). Of course it wasn't. 5 hours of me waiting and well, you know the rest, as they stained my front bumper.

Well I had my 20k Logbook Service done at you know where on Wednesday, I was literally the first person served at 7:30am & leaving it for a 3:00pm pick up, guess what turned up early hoping it was finished, 3:15pm car still on hoist, while others strolled in & picked up their cars that had been serviced through the day, ended up getting my car at 3:35pm = 8 hours! “Not Happy Jan”! Oh & I gave them a gob full, they had no explanation.

Not good. Sounds like you and @Stinger GT SS might need to find a new service centre

Well, as posted in this thread, my Stinger goes in for its 12 months 10,000km service next Friday, I told the young attractive woman at the service desk, and Yes, I can describe her like that because I am single...:), that i do not want to bring it in and have it sitting there for 2 hours or more , so she told me if you want to wait, bring it in at 07:50am, the technicians start at 08:00am and will bring in my Stinger first thing, and should be finished by 10:00am, WE SHALL SEE ?
