How did you colour the centre strips on the hood vents, great idea , looks nice on with white.

Someone asked me how I did it through PM so I’ll post my response here too.

To remove the strips I pulled the vents per the videos of the StingerHaus products and the strips just have 3 small screws holding them on.

I got some adhesion promoter, base coat, pearl coat, and clear coat from a local paint supply store. Sand with 400 to scuff the surface, 2 coats of adhesion promoter, 4 coats of base white, 3 coats of pearl, and 3 coats of clear. Waited 24 hours for everything to dry, wet sand with 1500 then 2000, polish with rubbing compound. Then reinstall.

I wanted them to look factory and color matched, so I went through the extra steps.

Haha, I drive in Phoenix Arizona, land of rocks-on-roads. Some are definatly from rocks, while others are peeling chips that 12/17 builds are dealling with...
