Numb nuts at an auto shop pinched my skirt
. My regular guy that I've been going to for years got Covid and shut down his shop for two months. I needed an oil change so I took it to another "reputable" shop. I even told them to mind the jack points. I did a walk around when I picked up the car and due to the grime on the rocker panels from the filthy roads I missed it. My fault. I drove it directly from the shop to my garage and parked it. It was wayyyyy to cold and sloppy to wash the car so it sat for a month. Finally had a nice day to wash it and I spotted the damage. Shocker... the shop denies doing the damage. I took it to the best body shop in Chicago and talked to the owner ( he was very smitten by the Stinger BTW...called it a "very special car"). He says he can pull the rocker panel, hit it with a heat gun from the back and form it back into place and it should be 95% better...but not perfect. Lucky the paint is still in good shape. Quoted me 200 bucks. If it's still noticeable to me, I'll probably just put on some aftermarket side skirts to cover it. Sucks when you take so much time and care with a car and some dumbass messes it up. Should start doing my own changes from here on out. Here's the before pics and I'll post some after pics when I get it done on Thursday. Doesn't look that bad in the pics but trust me...I see it every time I look at the car.
