Uhhh...New Eibach Springs Install

Are you offering these as examples of "reverse rake"? Because each one of these has the rear slightly higher than the front, along the bottom edge.

I think you have bad vision or a poor understanding of what rake and reverse rake are.

Yes it is.

Considering where you started I'd say the only thing that can be done to level things out is to find a front set up that advertises a bigger drop than the Eibach rears. Coilovers might be a good idea.

My "vision" is fine. It is very possible that I am using common terms incorrectly (look over some of my posts on "oversteer" and "understeer" for a good example of this).

To my understanding rake or "positive" rake means that the car sits visibly higher in the rear than at the nose. Reverse, or "negative" rake is the opposite: it looks like you're carrying your dead 400# mother-in-law in the trunk.

the bottom line is that i'm not happy with the stance. it's sitting too low in the rear and i want to raise it up at least 5/8".

what are my options to accomplish this?

all i know currently is that i can either live with it as is or go back to the stock springs and neither of those are very appealing to me. :(

I wish I could tell you. But I have read on here about "spacers"; and a pic I saw recently showed just that between the end of the coil spring and the "seat" (or whatever it's really called). The effect would be to raise the car. I completely agree: a car that looks like its ass is lower than the front looks like it's driving backwards.

could i swap out just the rear springs for stiffer ones that would raise the rear? i would have no idea which springs that would be of course. :)

Try contacting Eibach and ask if they have a spacer that is compatible with the Stinger. I know in the Audi community that KW had spacers because people were having issues with their rear springs sagging and KW offered spacers as a solution.

This is exactly the reason I went with the ARK springs, little over an inch drop in the front and an inch in the rear...sits dead nuts level and has 90% the comfort of the stock springs. The reverse rake would drive my OCD nuts, it doesn't look terrible but I definitely notice it in every picture that gets posted here or on FB where the car is running Eibach springs.

I would not run different springs in the rear...the varying spring rates would cause some ride quality issues I would imagine.

Your options are:
1. Live with it
2. Go back to stock
3. Run different springs and sell the Eibachs
4. Get spacers...you'll need to measure the spring dimensions (i.d, o.d.) and the dimensions of the upper spring perch. Off-road guys run small urethane or metal spring spacers all the time (1/8" - 5/8").

Well, you COULD get coilovers as well, which let you manually adjust the ride height.. Of course, that would disable the dynamic suspension. If you're in a base GT, might be something you're interested in..

I found out that the bump stops were not trimmed (per the attached instructions) when the springs were installed. If they went back and trimmed them, would that level out the car? I'm thinking no.

At this point I'm leaning towards #3, but am worried I'll just end up in the same spot again no matter what brand of springs I run.

I do have the base GT.

Mine is an AWD GT1 with ARK lowering springs and it's level front to back. So, no, you won't necessarily get the same results with different springs. This particular issue is widely reported with the Eibach springs.

Trimming the bump stops will help, but will not totally alleviate the issue.

Here's mine for refrence:

Guys bump stops have zero impact on ride height. The only reason they have you trim the bumpstops is so that you gain that inch back in suspension travel with your shock and are less likely to bottom out on larger bumps.

so it sounds like spacers if they make them and if not try a different brand of springs like ARK

You could also consider H & R Springs, there is a RWD set.

i have an AWD
Sorry, I thought you had RWD as this was the issue with Eibach Springs sitting lower in the rear as they suited AWD.
I think H&R do AWD as well but not 100% sure.
