• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Track & 1/4 Mile Anyone ? - Ontario

we have approx. 10 or so (with non-stingers), but personally, I don't like the trace part, unless we collectively agree that we'll run each driver 30 seconds apart, to have free range of the track and not have accidents with others, etc.. unless 2-3 friends agree to run next to each other, but only as by choice and everyone agrees the track time to be shared that way ? in an organized way.
but for 1/4 runs, it seems its not cheaper to rent the track and there's time to get more than enough runs thru.

Let us know how many people there and how many runs you get thru ?
You have mods ?
Have you been there before ? I assume lots of seating for guests to hang out and record runs ?

You only need 10 sec per car on this track. I did not feel that I was going to have an accident at any point in my 3 sets of 3 laps.
The marshals make sure cars are properly spaced. Even with 10 cars on the track you will be mostly by yourself.
It's not a race, you can take your time and no-one will bother you. Open lapping allows you to come in and out of the track as many times as you like.
Line up and they signal you to go! As far as I could tell most people do 1 warm up, 1or 2 hot laps, cool down lap and get out!
No one will pass you on the turns and even on the straights you need to signal them to pass otherwise they get black flagged and kicked out immediately.
The marshals there were super strict on safety!

I don't have any real performance mods and my stock breaks worked fine with proper cool-down laps on the track or the small road around the pits. if you park it after you get out of the track you will boil your break fluid and will have to wait up to an hour to get back on the track!
E-breaks should be disabled at all times! if you park and they go ON while hot the breaks will fuse together and you will be stuck!
It was my first time! No spectators allowed at the moment (Covid-19) but a passenger that can be in your car and on the sidewall to take some videos is ok.

I can do 2 hot laps and my oil temp only went up to ~110c. Your breaks is your limiting factor but if you commit to cool down lap they can go for the entire time you are there!

Let schedule a social distancing meet up!

what was your time on the laps ?
you didn't do any 1/4 mile runs ?
What area you at ? I'm in Bowmanville/Durham

E-brake ? you mean the one suppose to be for when parked on a hill ? I never use that on flat services.
I'm all for a Stinger meet up. Social distancing, I'm good with whatever ya'll feel comfortable with. I'm good with arms reach if no one is spitting or coughing, etc.. I

Timmies parking lot somewhere or somehwere parking lots is big enough we can park in a circle formation so we can all hang out on our hoods and chat.

No mods on mine either. I have 2 K&N filters, but haven't put them in yet. I really want to do some 1/4 runs b4 and after the filter change, to see the difference on average. I assume 1/4 sec. may be about right, but just want to know.

I'm hoping to make it out tomorrow (if not raining) to Shannonville Motorsport Park in Belleville area.
It's drag day, not a track day.
Anyone want to hook up and head over together ?

July 24 is mix and match, where you can do track and some drag strip runs.
