Track & 1/4 Mile Anyone ? - Ontario

Hey my Stinger Fam.
Who wants to get together this spring/summer for either a track event or 1/4 mile event, or both ?
I've never been before and with my new Stinger being such an awesome performer, I wanna I wanna I wanna

There's the one near Cayuga Ontario, which is well known and popular (I believe they have 1/4mile and a track). S/W Ontario, south of Brantford.

There's also some oval track there too, called Jukasa, but not sure if they allow track to public ?

And there's one really close to me N/E of Bowmanville (track only), the Canadian Tire Mosport Park.
This one requires folks to join some track group assoc. that rents out there track and go with that groups rental days. They don't have their own open track days.

And there's one closer to Ottawa area, Calabogie, which seems to have both options. If first time, you gotta take a course to better know how to drive on a track, etc..

If anyone has been to these and is more familiar with how it works, I'm open to assistance in organizing such event.

Also, it'll be more fun if we invite our friends w/Mustangs, Camero's, Charger's, BMW's, Audi's, etc.. So we have lots of various competition and fun.
I'm sure these other types of cars would be there anyways, but being people we know and can have fun with, especially if we beat some of them, is better for ongoing conversation later.

So, Who's in and any advice, suggestions ?

Maybe a Cannonball run to Florida ? Haha... kidding on that one.

I'd be interested in a track day (not into ovals or drag strips) CTMP / Mosport does do track days / club days and they have two tracks, the "big" track and a driver development track, I know someone who does a charity Hot laps track day there every year. Alos a group from work did a track day years ago in Dunnville, that I didn't get to but I've fired off an email to see if any of the people who attended can comment.

I have no problem sharing the track with other brands, plus it may lower the cost of the event.

I was going to take the Stinger to Cayuga last summer but never got around to it. I've taken my Mustangs before, I live about 45mins away. the best time to go is during the week after work on a test/tune night, I've easily done 15 runs in an evening. Its a lot cheaper than weekends.

Especially with late sun downs in spring.

I'm good with a weekday too. Hopefully others, with long enough notice, can request a day off or an early leave from work to beat traffic out that way.
What time is that evening test and tune runs start ? This is 1/4 mile runs or track laps ?

So far that's 3 of us. Silverghost may want to come too, so 4. Any friends you guys have in mind for this ? Non-Stinger friends ?

where is CTMP ? You mentioned they have two tracks. Do they have a drag strip too ?

I'm interested in doing both. Of course, most likely would be a different day/event for each.

I've got a Mustang buddy who's in, and another possible stang or two I'm waiting on.
Also, few buddies, one as a bmw m5, other m335i and an audi A something, a sporty version, but forget which one.

Hopefully, few more Stingers join in. I'll check when they open and hopefully start putting some possible dates together.

Also, before this is all set up with dates to go etc. It would be nice to all meet up for coffee or wing night before the event, and those who've been there, can share experience, and what to expect there, etc..

Cool. What times did you run ? Were those stock or any mods ?

I ran 12.2 which was quicker than I was expecting. I was getting some hesitation at higher RPM’s so I think my fuel mixture was off or plugs were already on the way out. I have your typical low 12 to high 11 mods

My S4 buddy sold it, but he has his charger in the garage and he's open to letting it out.. haha. I don't know exact model.. but he's had it for a while now. Back when it first came out as a beast, with over 400HP and Torque. RT I think.
There's 2 chargers and a Stang on my street, but I don't know them.. Should I go knock on their door ?
Sometimes when I pass the charger house, in case guy is out, I gear down as I coast by, so the muffler sound is a bit more pronounced... hahahaa.

O.k. So with this Stupid Covid whining down, the Race tracks are opening up.

Toronto Motor Sports has their drag strip opening as of May 22nd and ongoing every Friday evening, with registration starting 6pm, and I think dragging starts 7pm, till ? not sure.. I think 1opm, hopefully later.

I am reaching out to find out if earlier is allowed, as an organized thing for our own group or not. I believe if we do our own thing, its very expensive cause they need the staff there etc.. if it rains or something, more complicated. Reg. nights, we can cancel if bad weather, or someone can't make it, no biggy.

So, who's in ? and I assume May 22 is too early to get everyone organized, so Suggestions ?

looking into that. Kinda let it go with all the shit going on.. I've asked for info on what's involved and costs.

FYI... helmets are required.. Apparently if your car is estimated to go under 14 secs, you need a helmet.. but higher, No.

Gotta shop for the cheapest I can find. yes my melon is worth millions to me, but can't be spending $$ on anything not really essential now, as work has been affected for me... and I just bought a new toy, the wife doesn't know about yet... will justify it, somehow, before it comes.. I'm gonna say it's for both of us to share for our 1 year anniversary.. haha..
