I had the Contis on my last X6 and they were excellent ........................but the OP is in Florida , I doubt an UHPAS tire is what he needs .................Thanks for this link! It solidifies my option to do what I can HONESTLY recommend (and what I’ll be doing once these Pilot Sports are finally gone), the Continental Extreme Contact DWS. I have owned several of this model on 3 different cars and I won’t stray for making another purchase! These are hands down the most confident best all around tire I’ve used. They are sure footed in snow and rain, and wear real close to the rating displayed. Never an issue/regret. Thanks; one less thing I’ll have to research later. Good luck in your decision. db
Are the Pilots more noisy than the Nittos? What is people's general concern with the Pilot Super Sport / Sport 4s? I got these for the last 1-2 years on my Subaru, and outside of road noise, they were amazing - super grip, great wear. Better wear then the Pilot Sport A/S I had before..
Also look at Falken Azensis FK510 very good option for a performance tyre & pricing is also comparable.
I’ve got just over 25K’s on the clock & my Conti’s are almost spent, I’m going with the Falken Azensis FK510, these have performance ratings up there with Conti’s & Michelin’s but also have excellent wear properties.Agree, solid option all up. Thanks
I've had them on my car for around 8 months. (245s and 285s.)
They handle fine in the wet. Dry traction is good. Only have about 6k miles on them so I can't comment on tread life yet. Can't possibly be worse than the Michelins though.
