The Official Stinger Feature Wishlist

Gotcha.....
The GT2 in the States has been around since inception.....top of the line with all the goodies, starting in 2019 they added HUD, 360 camera, heated/cooled seating, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, sunroof, drive by wire transmission etc, etc .....power liftgate too
Actually, the only ones of those that were added to the GT2 in 2019 are the 360 degree camera and I think heated rear seats. Everything else was on the first model GT2. The 2019 GT1 got most of that standard as well; all the nannies, I know that (but no 360 camera).

I wrote that wrong but yeah the additional items were 360 camera, heated rear seats and wireless charging

Oh, wireless charging, yeah, I forgot that one (I don't have a phone that would use it anyway, so I don't notice those things:P).

I have 2020 Stinger GT Carbon Edition. There are no GT2 or Limited editions in Australia. What year is the GT2?
The US GT2 is our GT. Our lower spec models below that are SI* and S.

*Now discontinued.

Cool. Mine has all those things as well as the carbon fibre bits. I would have preferred a carbon fibre steering wheel, but it came with the alcantara steering wheel, which I am worried is not going to last very long.

I've got another one, in event of the unlikely chance Kia/Hyundai scan this forum:

An optional hybrid rearview mirror where it can either be configured to be a screen displaying the view of a rear-facing camera, or an actual mirror, like the new C8 Corvette. This would solve the rear visibility problem .

You can turn the rear camera on at any time and it dusplays on the entertainment screen which is bigger than the rear view mirror not very effective at night though

I wish that the V6 models came standard with functional heat release vents on the hood. The fake ones look good, but with such a high performance engine it would be better that Kia did something like this for added engine bay cooling.

Really? Are you suffering from overheating issues?

No overheating for me as I don't drive it that hard, but I just remember how hot it used to get under the hood of my mustang's and figured since some other automakers do it, it would be something nice to see. I guess I'd only need that feature if I were running the car at the track which I won't do.

This might be a foolish question, but why couldn't you just drill those fake holes in the hood vent to let the heat out. only problem would be if you did not have a garage to protect from rain. I do not see any adverse things that could cause any problems.

If there were something on top of the engine and beneath those holes to make sure, when it did rain, that water didn't run onto anything important that would work. I'm still thinking like I did when I used to have my 08 Mustang and how pretty much everything on the car could be replaced with something aftermarket for better performance. Though I've never raced cars, my initial thinking was anything to help an engine run cooler is a benefit for the engine even if you're just street driving.

It's more involved than drilling out the plastic "vents". There is hood below them. You have to cut those away, leaving two rectangular holes below the fake vents: which, if you do as you suggest and thus don't go aftermarket, will allow plenty of air transfer to the outside world; but also allow water into the engineroom, as you point out. So, the Korean Stingers can get an aftermarket mod done, where magnetic attachment points to collection boxes allow you to snap them in place when it's raining, or when you go through a car wash, etc.; a hose angles forward near the radiator and drains the collected water away. When the water/rain presence is over, you pop the hood, pull the collecting boxes off and store them (in the hatch, of course); and voila! your real vents are back.

Just give me a rev counter on the heads up display.
Welcome. It doesn't sound like you're asking for much, but I bet you are. :D

Haha I just think it’s a waste of heads up display if there isn’t at least a minimalistic rev counter

My Vette has a tach on the HUD, and they had to actually plan for that - It's a VFD segmented display.

It would be nearly zero effort for Kia to put all the common "should be on the HUD" complaints to rest. It's just a screen, and all of the necessary data is already there in CAN, just let the end user configure it.
