The First Official StingerFest is in Chicago, Illinois

I would try to nail it down for a particular weekend. Asking who would be available for October is too broad IMHO.

October 2018 Weekends:

Oct. 6/7 Sat/Sun
Oct. 13/14 Sat/Sun
Oct. 20/21 Sat.Sun
Oct. 27/28 Sat/Sun

Who will be available for which weekend (presuming the fest takes place on a weekend)? Multiple choice preferred, possibly in the order of preference, i.e. 1,2,3,4...

Sal, I would use the forum function to send a message to ALL members saying there's a new thread for StingerFest and they need to say if they're attending or not.

Without a date, time, location, schedule of events, etc. your not likely to get commitment from 100 people.

Even if you do the likelihood of them all showing up once those details are locked down is slim.

Angel, you put your people that are drivig on their own with there Stingers to the Chicago fest, so it shows we have more people.

Ok i live in Australia and by no means do i know what advice to give but i have a suggestion.
Why dont you approach Kia about this as it will promote their product. They may support owners with fuel vouchers or something.
Can you get a major company to support it or sponsor it.
Lastly, weather will always affect things like this so pick a date in a hot time of the year and a location thats dead centre of USA.
Everyone will have an excuse why they cant come and you cant appease everyone. Just set a place and date then make it so attractive to meet that people will drop everything to be there. Maybe a free car lottery? You how successful the cannonball run was!

Why rent a huge venue for one day? We could easily meet at a nice park with a nice accommodations nearby, good eats ... have a cruise around Chicago.

I don't see a huge turnout for this fest on such short notice ... especially for one day.

I would love to meet everyone on this forum and more, but it would be an 18 hour round trip for me from Memphis, plus expenses!!!

Next fest maybe, Knoxville, TN. Winding roads, God's country... for more than one day.

Renting the race track for a day is $15,000 - so it's not likely to be there. Coming down to Earth, it seems the best possibility is Illinois Beach State Park: Parks
