I am looking for replacement rims for my up coming Stinger. Has anyone seen if the rear rims are different size to the front. What is the offset size ET35?. The stud 5/114.3? Not sure if we have covered this already.

This could change so I would not bank on it until the car is released.

Thanks Bamm I am pritty sure it's the same running gear as the Hyundai Genius. But still can't find any info on the offset sizes.

Sticking with 19 inch rims so I can just swap to tyres over.

Better than the running gear of the Apple Genius I saw last week. :)

I'm thinking of getting Proxes Toyo tires but I need to check which wheels would fit and work with it.

I am hoping for a little advice on a second set of wheels, particularly as the availability in the US is scheduled to start with the need for winter tires on a GT 2 (?) in the northern climes.

Below are the wheel and tire specs from the owners manual and here are specs for 4 wheels I have available from my 2013 Mini Countryman 4S.
  • Size: 19x8.0
  • Offset: +45 mm
  • PCD: 5-120mm
  • Bore: 72.5mm
  • Lug Opening: 14mm Conical Seat
I am wondering if these would be compatible/acceptable given the Kia specs-GT 2 preferred. To me it looks like front maybe yes, rear maybe not, but I'm not sure about the offset and and not expert on wheel details.

Also wondering if anyone has seen the spec for "ground clearance"?

Thanks for any advice you have.

I don't believe the bolt patterns match. So they would not fit.

I don't recall seeing any specs for ground clearance.

Thanks for the help-I appreciate it. I hadn't seen the bolt pattern measurements. Darn.....

From what I have read on this thread, nobody has studied the wheels on the 2 Stinger built for Sema 2017. OEM GT2 wheels are unsatisfactory width, front and rear.

i have a wheel shop finding some wheels for me right now. ill post pics and info once its all done

I'm looking for specs on the 18" rims. Bolt pattern and such to order something to mount R compounds on for the track. And also for mounting snow tires on in the winter.

Is the hub size the same on the 18" rims?

I've been looking into R-compound tires for track days and Autocross and there doesn't seem to be anything in the 19" wheel sizes 225/40R19 front and 255/35R19 for the rear. I can find those sizes in 18".

Would I look for 8.0Jx18(front)/ 8.5Jx18(rear) wheels with the same bolt pattern and hub size? The offset is still the thing to find out. I like having the staggered tire sizes for the track (much more stable I think), just not for my everyday driving.

I suggest you have a look at this thread:

While it deals with winter tires, it also deals with fitting 18" rims over the Brembo brakes! Good luck.

As I read the thread the issue looks like it was the offset. Originally they tried the K022 with a +45 offset and that was the problem. When they put on the K022 with a +34 offset it fits over the Brembos. And the Fastco model FC04 has a +30 offset in the 18x8.0 size rim and also fits over the Brembos.

Thanks for pointing me to the thread.

I have the 18" all season tires coming on my GT2. Mainly for convenience sake, tire rotation and being able to buy all the same tire size. But for the track I'm looking for the staggered set up that comes standard on the 19" wheel package. I'm just going to do it in 18" rims because the R-compound tires come in those sizes as are standard on the 19" rim (225/40R19 front and 255/35R19 for the rear) but I'll be getting them in 18" instead. Hankook and Toyo both sell R-compounds in 18" sizes, but not 19" as far as I could find`.

I'm in NY, an hour north of NYC so at this point I think the all season tires should be fine for driving during the winter. I got through last winter with all season tires on my Rio.

When I go to the track I just pack up the R-compound mounted wheels and swap out the wheels at the track, then swap them back when I head home.

No. You cannot put a tire designed for a 8.5 inch wheel on an 8 inch wheel or vice-versa.
Also on the AWD version you need to make sure the diameter of the all 4 wheels is the exact same or you will jack up the transmission. (And wear the tires really bad)
