I had a squeaky steering wheel for quite awhile actually on my 2020 GT, especially in the mornings when its a little cooler out. After bringing it into the dealer from what I recall they said the bearings were seizing a bit or misaligned, something of that nature. Anyway that apparently was the cause because that fixed the issue immediately for me, no steering wheel creak to speak of after 6 or so months since the fix.

Unfortunately that was out of warranty for me so it cost be a couple hundred at the dealer, but it was worth it as it was getting a bit annoying hearing that all the time.

if you have the receipt from the repair, that might help us with part numbers to look at.

My 2019 is doing similar. Noise in the steering wheel when moving it. Steering wheel noise, not drive train. I'm a master diesel technician and have seen/heard this issue many times before in Volvo tractors. It sounds like the steering wheel clock spring/contact reel. It's the electrical connection between the steering wheel buttons and the column. They sometimes fall apart. My dealer has supposedly ordered one for me but its been a month...and they suck..
