Sporty Exhaust Crackle

Ive driven both so i made a choice ,pretty happy with the final result yes i had to do some modifications and alterations to achieve what i was looking (Hearing) for. The bimodial exhaust was engineered for the Stinger and is warranted so thats a win/win. I just chose differently we are all different.

Awhile back i was at meet with 5 or 6 Stingers and we all had different exhausts.
Borla,Bimodial, Jun B, Varex, JT, and Ark. Everyone was happy with their choices.
I think the previous point of the member was the importance of keeping within the warranty parameters. Im well down the road from there.
Just a bit of west coast v east coast friendly banter I reckon. Each to their own.

Lawyer up. Yes it sucks. But it's better than the alternative. There is an old saying that goes, "you have to pay to play". It's not for everyone and that's ok. Just remember, (I'm sure your attorney will include this in their monetary compensation request), that any of your time, (causing you to miss work, miss time with your family, etc.....) allocated to the issue(s) being litigated will be reimbursed, as will actual monetary loss due to having to arrange for temporary transportation, etc...

If it scares you, and that's perfectly understandable, don't change anything on your car.
One of the articles Ive referenced above is from 2018 and names not just KIA/Hyundai for trying to create their own automotive monopoly in regards warranty coverage but also in forcing you to use only their parts. They got handled and changed their policy.
Excerpt from above article is below.
"Lawyer up" Yeah right. I'm not going to pay some dirt bag slime ball attorney to fight Corporate just so I can do something to my Stinger that I know might cause a stink. Life has bigger and
The FTC Issues a Compliance Warning to Hyundai
In April of 2018, the FTC issued compliance warnings to six major companies, citing violations of the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act.

6 manufacturers. Not just. Hyundai/Kia.
So if they want to force you to fight them, plant both feet and make them sorry they ever knew you. With legal counsel, haha. I've read at least 6 recent cases where Hyundai/Kia agrees to all 3 offers from the plaintiff's lawyer which is much more costly than if they just did the right thing. Can't stay in business forever if you keep getting your bottom dollar decimated, and that doesn't even take into consideration the long lasting damage that will occur to their, " best in class", warranty coverage claims either.

I would go through Google and copy and paste them for you, but I'll let you peruse for yourself, should you decide to. There are a plethora of lawyers to choose from as well. Good luck.

"Lawyer up" Yeah right. Do folks really want to hire some dirt bag, slime ball attorney to fight corporate so they can hang some widget on their Stinger they know (or should know) will cause a conflict? Life is too short. I prefer to pick my battles and devote my resources to more important issues. But......to each their own.

Welcome aboard, @StingerGT156! Thank you for signing up. The Stinger exhaust IS quite quiet... However, it IS a GT - which stands for Grand Touring. But I agree, it would be nice to have that crackle at times. I'm just not confident that Kia will give us what you're asking for - unless they do a special higher performance version down the road. Which I believe they will...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Hello. Just curious. What is the background and history of the so much desired gurgle, pop and crackle sound of a cars exhaust sound today? Is it directed to those external to the car or is it meant for the occupants of the car? Perhaps Kia should offer the gurgle, pop and crackle to the enhanced exhaust sound feature the Stinger currently has.
I know this is WAY late, but I wonder if the attraction is for those who value the *appearance* of performance over actual performance…kinda like wearing what your favorite sports star wears, thinking it will make others think you can perform like them. See fake carbon fiber or even real CF bits in a car that doesn’t benefit from the weight savings or directional stiffness at all.

Our Daytona 24-hour class-winning and GT2 season champion FD RX-7 would pop and spit flames a dozen feet in rundown out of the tri-oval into the infield because of fuel dump to cool the turbos and the hot gas would ignite when it got air. This was actually used in the stock street cars as well, but the catalytic converter and exhaust killed all external effects. Running a true performance exhaust setup would result in mild pops under overrun, but as a natural effect of how rotaries work. Later, it became a ricer fashion statement.

Like stanced cars “look like Indy cars, man!”

Ah, the cod piece fetish, which was largely discarded (and sanely so), except for the puny segment of society that escalated the statement to "put a live chicken in your underwear". Hah.
