• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Removing Oil filter

“Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.”

but hey, MODS! MODS AT ALL COSTS!
true dat.
I think the Stinger is a great car. In these days of manufacturers going to SUVs and moving away from performance automobiles, I applaud Kia for the Stinger.
I just wish it had an aluminum oil filter canister

I'd love to know the justification for going with plastics all around like this. Been changing oil and filters for decades on countless vehicles. This would be a first to have a plastic housing and cap. My mid 90's kawasaki zx11 used a cartridge filter similar to this, but everything was aluminum.

How easily is the housing itself replaced?

I've just performed it on my UK car, RHD. Yes its nuts how the steering motor is located in the way, given the car needs an oil change every 6K miles. This often you'd imaging Kia would make it simple. Clearly little thought went into RHD model period, presumably the reason why they never had a AWD version available too. Its yet more evidence the Kia Stinger was a management mistake, probably lost in translation. The KIA Korean CEO probably told everyone in a board meeting he wanted something to compete with an Audi RS4 and got his numbers mixed up, meaning to say RS3 and by the time they realised what was happening it was to late to pull the plug as the factory had mostly already been tooled up.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Still not as bad as RHD Euro's with the control stalks on the wrong side of the steering.
