Ha yeah I prefer a quiet car I've had bmw , Jaguar and even a charger where 10 times more pleasant to drive then this mangled plastic
You've had some pretty good luck. I've had 3 BMW's, 1 Mercedes and a Lexus so far. Hands down favorite was the Lexus RCF. I'm on the hunt for an LC500 and a Sh*tbox daily for when its snowing here. I worked for Lexus during the LC500 launch and had the pleasure of driving on in Hawaii for a couple days on the winding roads of the "Big Island" and WOW. That car was the finest mix of power, comfort and style i've yet seen.

I mean are u kidding me with this car ? In this modern day to have buy weather strips for a 45000 car is ridiculous this car needed to be redesigned it's cheap crap
And you are tiresome.

Has anyone experienced rattling/vibration when idling in drive/reverse? The noise amplifies when the ac is on

At 14,500 miles and slowly accumulating a few rattles inside. Was expecting it at some point, being that it's basically a pimped out econobox. Anyone fooled into buying a vehicle with a Kia badge and not expecting compromises doesn't know cars.

That said, I bought the Stinger for the drivetrain and the comfortable seats, decent tech (at the level of tech I wanted), and some cargo capacity/flexibility. It delivers on all these things. If I wanted cushy AND quick, I would have to spend more $$$. Probably a LOT more $$$ in today's car market. Maybe the sibling Genesis G70 is snapped together a bit tighter?

I had my hopes really high when I went to the car, checked the side skirts and realised some of the clips are not fully pressed. But after fixing them, I just started the car and the creaking sound was still there :( I really don't understand as the sound can be heard even at really low speeds, 2-3 km/h. I also checked the doors, the headliner, no fix yet.
One strange thing though, yesterday morning I didn't hear the sound for the first time. I drove to a nearby city (aprox 100km away) without hearing it. But later in the day, when I drove back, there it was again. This morning it was still there, but it faded away when it started to rain. Then I realised yesterday morning it was also raining. I'm not sure there is a connection, but I don't know what else to do...
Try what I did if it's rattle, loose stones get kicked up on top of the plastic splash panels under the car and even a few of them can be annoying and sound like the doors/speakers are rattling. easiest way to check is to bang on the panel with your hand and you can hear the stones bouncing around. use a 10mm socket to unbolt and clean them off, hope that helps.

^^^You must hit a lot of gravel roads/paths?

Are your a looser dork
Sounds like you just need to get out of it for your own sanity. Clearly there are issues you can't get rectified so I'd push for a refund through Lemon Law if your state provides for it.
I love the cars, as some of these folks know I've had 4 of them. I've also had Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Audi, GT500, 3 Mustang GTs, SVT Cobra, and a variety of other Toyota, Nissan, Chevy, Dodge, Mercury, and Jeep vehicles. I'm very particular about my cars and quite sensitive to unnecessary noises. The Stingers are tight, great engines and trans, tons of safety and comfort features.
I'm good with them

One possible cause was mentioned above: loose rocker panels (side skirts): push really hard along the inner edge to reseat the retaining clips. The loose panels resonate up the B pillars and cause the noises heard in the cabin. Similarly, the headliner can be loose: go around the sunroof opening especially, and push up hard and you might hear a "Velcro" reseating sound. Good luck! And welcome.
Hello everyone. When I originally bought the car I had this very issue. A rattling noise while in motion, coming from the B pillar. I followed this exact advice (thank god for forums) and found that the side skirts on both sides of my Stinger were loose. Once everything was clicked back into place the noise was gone! I was so happy however recently the same noise is back. I thought that perhaps the side skirts came loose again however everything is still clicked into place. I am at a complete loss for what it could be and how it came back. I only hear the noise at 75mph or higher and the rattling frequency increases with speed. I did notice that the side skirt panel wasn't flat, it was almost wavy in place so I tried adding some tape just to even things up but that has not done anything to resolve the problem.

^^^Welcome to the forum (or out into the open anyway ;)). Noise, and no accompanying vibration anywhere?

the stinger is a rattler. oh well, i just turn up my music so i dont hear it. plus i still put black electrical tape on the contacts for the hatchback; it works. about to get my second oil change since ive had the car, 9500 miles. its time for new windshield wipers as well; they leave pretty bad streaks now. i am hoping the service department checks every thing they are supposed to. maybe i should print out what the manual says or what kia connect says should be checked. i just dont know how thorough they are.

Take photo's of your side skirts before the oil change. Dealers love to dent those with their lifts by not adjusting the plates.

I had a 2019 GTS that creaked and cracked when it was summer. Recently purchased a 2023 gt2 no issues yet but got it the first week of August.

My gt2 is a different animal since it has a ton more options. Love the front and side cameras and remote start and remote trunk. It also seems more comfortable and a bit more roomy with the seat adjustments. It rides like a dream no noises at all right now. It was in a show room when I bought it. My GTS started creaking in the cabin the first summer after I got it. It was the single most irritating issue that I ever had with a car. Annoying as hell when driving. It stopped in the spring fall and winter only was there during the hot summer days.

I have a 2022 GT1 and the headliner only creaks in the summer months. In the winter it is quiet. I agree, it’s so annoying though. I would give ANYTHING to have a quiet cabin

was there for 2 hours. sitting with my son, eating vending machine snacks and playing games on my phone and his tablet. i have no idea what they actually did other than replace the windshield wipers; and i cant believe one split so soon, whatever. i gave them a list of the suggested things to check but again i have no idea if they checked everything or used the correct oil i requested. i dont think the tire pressure is correct. oh well. they were supposed to rotate the tires, i was a little confused about that since the tires are staggered. they had no stingers or k5s on the lot. it was depressing.
