"Work on your own car, before getting mods"? Really? Not these days especially.

I have a question (totally ignorant, so be patient): A "race chip" is for racing, right? So if you go through putting one of these in a Stinger that has the 18" wheels 140 mph speed limiter, it will negate that? Even the 167 mph limiter will be banished for life? Please advise ...

No it doesn't remove the speed limiter. It increases the amount of boost over stock the car makes.

not the speed limiter, i think that needs a dedicated reflash since it is tied into the 18 inchers. as for is it for racing, not necessarily. like having an exhaust bypass, you aren't going to be driving around like that, or, back in the day, you could just drive around without the secondaries opening on your 4 barrel. not as much fun, but it saves gas. its your secret weapon. either way, found out that if you leave the car in eco or comfort and really lean into it, it will switch to sport. the mrs is pleased because she can point out that she is in eco all the time, but when the dash flashes red, i know she is racing again. caught you sweetie!

Really! I thought that you had to be in Smart to get Sport to "flash".
